Guest guest
I went to my neuro today for the test results and I really believe I have ms, but the neuro said no. I have lots of mild symptoms, and pretty severe migraines and neck pain. I also have lots of family history issues. I've been on a gluten/dairy free diet for 2 years because I found out I have Hashimoto's disease and was worried about my family history of autoimmune disease, but I didn't research MS specifically until recently when my 27 yo son went to the hospital with hemiparalysis. (He had negative test results also). My feeling is that my longtime lifestyle of pretty healthy eating and exercise has helped me do as well as I have. The mri report says 'scattered foci of increased T2/FLAIR signal abnormality in the subcortical white matter. These findings are nonspecific and differential to consider is chronic ischemic microvascular disease, migraines, demyelinating process and vasculitis.' I also told the doctor about my family history of massive brain aneurisms because my aunt with ms died of one at age 52, and my mother died of one at age 59. I'll be 51 in a few days and I'm really worried about that. Thanks in advance for any knowledge you may have to share about my results. Guest guest
Lynn, To me the main symptoms you are describing do not sound like MS. I believe, though it can vary, the main symptoms of MS are vision problems, bladder problems, numbness, stiffness, hug feeling. loss of mobility, balance problems, fatigue and brain fog. > > I went to my neuro today for the test results and I really believe I > have ms, but the neuro said no. Guest guest
Thanks , I do actually have some of those symptoms that you mentioned. Just last night, I accidently ate something with msg, and about an hour later my left leg got numb from my butt all the way down through my foot, and I got the worst tinnitis ever. And I've been searching for answers for a long time to find the cause of my cognitive problems. The one thing that hits home for me the most is that my tinnitis, brain fog, and fatigue symptoms definitely get worse with heat, and this one is so specific to ms. I'm wondering if 'scattered foci in the white matter' could possibly be small ms lesions, or something defferent. When I looked up foci it said something about scar tissue. I'm definitely going to be more careful with msg! Lynn -
