Guest guest
There are many alternative doctors that believe in and treat Candida depending on where you live. You may want to consider searching for an ND who will help you if you need it. Most ND's here do telephone consultations which are less expensive and you can ask specific questions on their Candida treatment protocol before you spend more money on an evaluation and office visit. They can also run any tests you deem necessary. Just some thoughts, TK > I'm new to this site, so if this has already been answered, I > apologize. Guest guest
Hi Lane77, Could you send me the link for the Candida - Antibiotics - Candidiasis group? I've done numerous searches (on ) and can't find it anywhere. Thank you! Chris
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the link. There are 3 members now! I posted a test message and if that works, then I'll post my story. I can't figure out why your group isn't coming up in searches. It even says the group is listed in the directory. I'll let you know if I figure anything out. Guest guest
You know, I don't know what I did wrong when setting that group up, but I can't find it when I do a search, either. I can only get to it by pulling up " My Groups " (there's only 2 members as a result of this, I believe). I appreciate your interest in the new group - here is the link, but if you can't pull it up, you can send me an email to my personal address at lisalane_100@.... Just tell your story of antibiotic usage (specific antibiotics used, if possible) and your general health issues since using them. And if you can offer any assistance as to how I can get my new group to come up under searches, I would appreciate it! Thanks! candida?yguid=170526935 > Hi Lane77, > > Could you send me the link for the Candida - Antibiotics - Candidiasis group? > I've done numerous searches (on ) and can't find it anywhere. Guest guest
Thanks so much! 3 WHOLE MEMBERS!!!! Oh well, it's a start, I guess. Yes, I see where it said I was listed, but can't seem to figure out why it doesn't come up in searches......strange. Thanks again! > Hi , > > Thanks for the link. There are 3 members now! Guest guest
Dr. Chit Ranawat is the founder of the Knee Society. He is probably one of the most respected total joint surgeons in the country. He did Pope II's THA. Along with Dr. Insall, Dr. Ranawat is considered the 'father' of contemporary knee replacements. He was one of the designers of the Total Condylar Knee in 1975 - the design which every TKA today is based off of. Heused to be at HSS, but went to Lenox Hill Hospital some time ago. He also lectures at most big total joint meetings and continues to with total joint research. Amar is his son. I believe that he may still be in residency or just recently finished. Guest guest
Is it possible to take too many supplements? I just can't get rid of this fatigue, in spite of my testing all coming back fine (thyroid, adrenals, toxicity, minerals, liver, etc.). I do realize that testing results don't always show exactly what is going on, but..... Other candia symptoms have gotten much better, but I can't get past this tiredness and lack of motivation, and I am tired of it!!! ) So I am wondering if I am overloading my liver and this is causing my fatigue. Guest guest
I don't think it is possible to take too many supplements, as most are water soluble and wash out of the body (except for Vit A and, I think E). Maybe the fatigue is from another cause - could you be allergic to something you are eating. I get horrible fatigue from eating fish. I don't have the answers to your questions, but I know that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a plague upon society. I have a close friend for whom this comes and goes . Always follow your gut. If you are afraid it's the Enbrel...keep on the doctor about it. Call Enliven...the Enbrel helpline. It's 888-436-2735. Guest guest
Dear Lora, Based on what you've said, my best guess would be a metastatic carcinoma, but I tend to be a tad pessimistic, to say the least. " Serp " doesn't fit, but septa semia might. Where in N. C. is he? If I can be of any help, please let me know. Guest guest
Hi...I haven't been here in ages, but read the posts. I'm not familiar with that terminology, but just wanted to tell u how sorry I am. Hopefully, there is some treatment available for him. Is there someone who can go with him in order to get better info at his next appointment? I hope u are doing okay. I am still in remission & feeling well. Guest guest
Anne, Thank you for your prayers and hugs. I was able to speak with my brother's doctor in Wilmington, NC. The CT scan showed cancer in my brothers liver, lung, spine and shoulder. It doesn't look good. They are going to do a biopsy of his shoulder on Tuesday. The largest " spot " is on his shoulder. The resulting chemo and possibly radiation will be very expensive and because he has no insurance (I've been paying his medical bills to this point), the doctor's office will help him get his appealed Disability claim expedited. I filed for disability for him in May, it was denied for lack of diagnosis, I appealed in September, and hopefully, things will happen now. I love my brother enormously, and would not think twice about taking out a huge loan to support the chemo. So, the prognosis looks grim. I'm not sure how they could possibly attack all the sights of cancer at one time. I'm going to be learning a lot... Again, thanks for hugs and prayers, lora
Guest guest
Gail, I'm so happy that you continue in remission and are feeling well. I did speak with my brother's doctor's nurse yesterday. I will fly down to North Carolina to be with him for his first visit to the oncologist so that I can pay attention and take notes and he doesn't have to. I will keep you all posted. My mom and sister are flying down there this weekend to be with him. Thank you again for all the positive thoughts, Lora

Guest guest
Dear Lora, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this...and your brother as well. I know most of the oncologist in Wilmington, as they used to be my customers. The good news is that I don't know a bad one. Sometimes cancers metastisize like rabbits reproduce. That doesn't mean that chemo won't work or at least get your brother into remission. I'll be in Clinton, N. C. next week visiting my Mother from Tuesday through Friday AM. It's her 80th birthday week! At any rate, Clinton is about an hour northwest of Wilmington. Her number is 910-592-4663, so don't hesitate to call if there's anything that I can do. and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
