Guest guest
Hi group, I saw my Rhuemy yesterday. I got an earlier appointment this time & it's amazing how much more patient he is when it's not late at night & only 2 more patients to go. Anyway, adding plaquenil to my mix (400mg) of sulfasalazine (1000), prednisone (5mg) & diclofenac to try & get on top. Sulfa isn't doing the job by itself. Also told him i want out of pred, too many side effects at such a low dose, so start taking 4mg in a month & so on & so forth. My main prob has been sweating & raise body temp, when you work in a kitchen that regularly gets over 40 deg. celius (100+ degrees) it causes all kinds of problems. Fingers crossed. Any suggestions of best time to take it? 2 tablets daily. I take 2 sulfa & pred in the morning & 2 sulfa & vit D at night. Can i take them in the morning or split them into 1 night, 1 morning OR take 2 at lunch time? I'll go back to the pharmacy & ask, but value your input. Cheers, Sharon of Aus. Guest guest
My doctor has always had me spread the prednisone throughout the day. I'm currently on 10mg and take 5mg in the AM and 5mg in the PM. Guest guest
Hi Lori, Thanks Lori, I only take 1 5mg dose. He gave me a script for 1mg tablets for when I cut down to 4mg next month. I take my pred in the am so it doesn't disrupt sleep. I'm wondering about when to take the 2 tablets of plaquenil, cheers, Sharon of aus > > My doctor has always had me spread the prednisone throughout the day. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, When I was on Plaquenil, I would take it twice daily, 200mg in the AM and 200mg in the PM. Guest guest
Sharon, Â I currently take plaquenil twice a day. I take one in the morning, and one in the evening. Seems to work well that way so far. Â Betsy

Guest guest
Hi Sharon: Take the Placquenil one in the a.m., and one in the p.m. This has worked well for me with the Sulfa, and Pred. Hope you find the right ones that work for you. Hugs, Barbara > > Hi group, > I saw my Rhuemy yesterday.
