Guest guest
When I went to a Arthritis Foundation conference this summer there were many there who wore the finger braces that look like silver rings. Quite attractive really! It was interesting to be in a room with so many other people with RA! I even got to meet 3 others with PA. I heard a lot of people use the word " miracle " and " I got my life back " when talking about Enbrel. It was an eye opening experience for my hubby (AF paid for him to be at the convention too) as he spent a couple of meals listening to conversation that was exactly my words, feelings, complaints, etc. but I wasn't saying them! As you know, RA tends to disfigure the hands even more than most cases of PA. The people wearing the splints said they were expensive ($10 per ring I think) but they felt it was well worth it! I think that if you went to an online medical supply store and searched finger splints or something similar you would find them. Also you could stop by somewhere that OTs or PTs work and look at catalogs. They usually have tons of catalogs and may even let you take one home. They are also likely to know which companies have the best prices. Or got to www.arthritis.org and see if they have info on medical supplies or call the 800 number for your state (listed at the web site) and see if anyone there can help you. Good luck. Guest guest
I have seen metal finger " rings " being used by someone with RA, and was wondering if anyone here has used them with any success? If so, where do you get them? I have a thumb that's going wild, and was hoping I could somehow stop it or slow it down. Thanks!
