Guest guest
Well! I can't believe how much better mtx made me feel .... except for the nausea for about 36 hours after taking it. My rheumy is starting me on mtx injections and I take my first one tonight. I had to take a bunch of shots when trying to conceive my son, but I wasn't this nervous to give them to myself. I don't know why this med is making me so nervous. Please, someone, tell me it's not bad. Also, do you have to keep the mtx in the fridge? Thanks! Guest guest
I used to feel nauseated and tired for a day or two after taking it, but my body got used to it after about 4 weeks. I still take it a little before bedtime as I do get very tired about an hour or so after taking it, but I'm fine the next day. I also got mouth sores and still get an occasional one but he did up my folic acid I take 3 a day. Hope you get used to the shot quickly. Diane > > Well! Guest guest
Best of luck, KD with your MTX injection tonight. It does not need to be refrigerated. I was on the pills and switched to injections several weeks ago. I prefer the injections. There is not gastro upset and the sleepiness doesn't last as long as it did with the pills. So, its NOT bad. Best of luck to you. Let us know how you did. Doreen > > Well! I can't believe how much better mtx made me feel .... except > for the nausea for about 36 hours after taking it. Guest guest
Hope all goes well with your MTX injections. They have worked well for me. No more nausea, thank God. I just keep my MTX in my cabinet, it doesn't need to be kept cold, just room temp. Wishing you pain free days ahead. Hugs, Barbara > > > > Well!
