Vaginal infection

Today I called my PCP and told her that I still had the vaginal

infection. I told her that I thought it was a yeast infection, even

though the culture did not show yeast. I pointed out that the

infection did get better after using Monistat and taking Diflucan. I

told her that candiasis was one of the side effects of Enbrel, and

that I would like to try something stronger than the OTC Monistat that

I had already used, something like Terconazole.

So what did she do? She called in a prescription for Metronidazole

Vaginal, which is for antibiotic infections! And of course one side

effect of that is a yeast infection!

So what should I do? I'm going on a bus trip tomorrow, and I certainly

don't want to make the situation worse than it already is.

Advice needed!

Sue
