Guest guest
I'd like to chime in on this issue as well. There is a drug called marinol that is a round jell type pill that has all of the benefits of pot as it is has the compounds of THC - the main thing in pot that makes it pot, but without having to compromise your lungs with " smoking " the pot. If I'm not mistaken, it is legal in most states but is considered a controlled substance. My husband has been prescribed this during chemo & I've taken it a few times as it seems to help with my fibro. Check it out online. It offers a wide variety of benefits. in SC Sent from my iPhone On Jan 26, 2011, at 3:25 PM, jenniferoperhall@... wrote: > Hi Betty, I normally lurk on this group but felt that I needed to respond. In my state (MI) Cannabis is legal to qualifying patients. I was diagnosed in March of last year and filled out the paper work for my card in August. I do not smoke the medicine (and yes It is consider medicine) I prefer to make it in capsule form and some friends of mine make it into a topical ointment. I do not use any other pain medication. And I just read an article in Treating Yourself Magazine that juicing just the leaf can have great benefits for people with arthritis. If it is legal in your state I suggest looking into it. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. > Pain free internet hugs, in MI > Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® > > ------------------------------------ > >

Guest guest
Vaporizing is a better alternative to smoking...you don't have smoke it anymore. I prefer the cannabis and leaf in capsule form that I make myself. Only 14 states are set up for medical Cannabis. More are set to go..you just have to look into it in your state. I work in a restaurant so its pretty available. Never was a pot smoker, it just put me to sleep but I am willing to try anything. My question is would this show up in a drug test. I have been applying for jobs within the school system and am sure that I will have to take one. Thanks in advance. Heres to a pain free day (or hour) Carol
Guest guest
Yes Carol, it will show up on a drug test. The ingredient that makes one high or relieves pain is ( forgive spelling here ) Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. It will show up in the blood when consumed in any form. in SC This is probably a stupid question. I like the idea of the oil and weed baked and taking a little everyday. Guest guest
I have a son in California. I went to a physician and got a prescription The marijuana pharmacies out there have many different types. I had great success with the lotions/ balms to rub into my joints. There is a definate medical use to the product. I purchased a product that removed the ingrediant that makes one " high " . I wish the governent would not meddle with an herb used by healers for centuries. We deserve pain relief. I am allergic to most RX pain meds. Google (Harboside health center san jose) There is a lot of info to scan. Good Luck. I'm still looking to find a way to get it legally. It is legal here in Michigan. But so far I haven't found a doctor that knows anything about it. Michigan my question is, ... has anyone on here ever tried marajuanna (sp. ??) i know it is illeagle in most states. is there any place where you can get it legal, and does it help with the pain ??? i've never even seen any of it, but i've heard the kids around here talk about it. lol..... they don't say too much around this old grandma tho..... any info on this would be appreciated ..
