Guest guest
Hi, I just took my third dose of Simponi last night. I like it, and I had an appointment with my rheumy last week, and she was pleased, too. For the first two shots, I did have a mild headache for a day or two afterwards, but today I don't...yet... It's a very easy monthly injection that I do in my stomach area, and it doesn't sting like some of the other injectibles can. The injection is on;y .5 ml, so it's such a tiny bit that it makes you wonder whether you got anything or not! If you do go on it, make sure you call Centocor to get the copay card. They pay your copay for the first 6 months, and then you only pay $5 for the next six months. Hope this helps. Patty
Guest guest
Thank you Patty for your information. I pick it up tomorrow. I have a $5 co=pay for any meds with my insurance of which I know I am very fortunate. I work full time in a very demanding job so knowing about the headaches is a valuable piece of information. I got them with Orencia too. Please keep me posted on how it is working for you and side effects. Good luck to you and I am glad it seems to be working for you, that is great to hear (and anticipate). Dale Ellen
Guest guest
I just started Simponi also and was wondering if you made a typo or if I don't know about the $5 program. I have a card from Simponi and it says that they pay 100% for the first 6 months then I pay $50 a month for the next 6 months. Did you mean $50 or is there something else out there that I don't know about? I haven't really felt anything different yet. Then again this was my first dose. I'm giving it 6 months to work. Guest guest
Hi, My card says copays are paid 100% months 1-6, and then there's a $5 copay months 7-12. I'm not sure why yours says $50, unless they changed the program. Patty
Guest guest
Good luck Patty with the Simponi injections. I see the commercial on TV and have the phone in my hand to call my rheumy and then then the last warning I hear is for people who have had cellulitis. Well, raise your hand Deb when you see yourself! I have had about 6 bouts of cellulitis within the last 18 months. That counts me out. Well, I hope that the drug manufacturers go back to the drawing board and develop something for people with RA and a " shot " immune system, but I guess RA = bad immune system. Sending good luck angel wishes your way! Gentle, tender angel hugs............. Debs in FL [ ] Re: Simponi injection Thank you Patty for your information. I pick it up tomorrow.
