Guest guest
Hi, I am 26 year old who suffers from cea, Seborrheic Dermatitis, and Acne. I was recently diagnosed with cea after years of misdiagnoses. When I was younger my dermatologist thought the redness on my face was simply caused by the Seborrheic Dermatitis and so I was prescribed topical steroids which I used for years. I now know that I shouldn't use these and that they may have caused my cea to progress. I am currently taking an oral antibiotic and Metrogel with little success. My dermatologist also prescribed Sulfacet-R for me, but I have found that it irritates my skin even if I try using it every other day. I have oily skin, but I find that all of these medications cause excessive dryness and make the Seborrheic Dermatitis worse. I am thinking of trying Differin again, I tried it once with some success. At first it caused some redness, but I did begin to notice that my skin seemed to look a little smoother. In general my skin is very sensitive and doesn't respond well to most medications. If anyone has any advice for someone with cea and Seborrheic dermatitis I would love to hear it. Thank you, Margaret H. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ E-group home: http://www.eGroups.com/list/rosacea-support
