Guest guest
How do people run into trains? I haven't had one pull out in front of me lately. [?] When at these events, you lose some perspective and the noise from the trucks can be deafening (BTDT) When pulling up to the staging lanes at the track, I've had people walk in front of me regularly. They are fixated and forget safety. I've had groups of people stand in the aisle while I'm trying to get to my spot on the motorcycle and never hear me even though I'm 2 feet from them. These things happen more than you think. Dennis in eastexas with Seattle weather today! Guest guest
GROUP; So sorry to hear all the bad news. It is under this post the bad news.. I thought about how could some one not see a monster truck bearing down on them from this post under mine. My conclusion he must of been having his back turned away from the oncoming truck. Seeing how the sound would be deafening, there must of been a very noisy area with other monster trucks Clora From: detour721 <stanpfister@...> Subject: [ ] OT: Monster Trucks Date: Monday, January 26, 2009, 10:09 AM Two weekends ago a young child was killed in Tacoma, WA while at a Monster Truck Rally. Guest guest
Clora - I saw a picture right before this guy was hit - he must've had something else on his mind and didn't see it coming - he walked out right in front of the truck. Like someone else said (I think it was Dennis), the noise at these places is deafening and there is a lot of activity. All it takes is a mild distraction for accidents to happen. My prayers and condolences go out to the man's family. Doreen > > GROUP; > So sorry to hear all the bad news.
