Guest guest
Hi , Fish oil thins the blood and supresses the immune system. Are you sure this is safe for everyone? Guest guest
Lydia, where did you hear that fish oil thins the blood and supresses the immune system? Dr Dennis MD and other researchers report that fish oil prevent clots due to " lubricating the red blood cells " and do not thin the blood in any way. Fish oil is an " essential " fatty acid, omega 3.. The emphasis is on " essential " . Very much needed by the immune system and all the cells. I had a major heart attack years ago and have relied on lots of fish oil ever sinse to prevent anouther, as well as help to cure Atrial Fibleration. I'm sure I would not be here today with out it. The MDs havn't made a dime off of me in years sinse I began Natural Medicine. For them that's a huge problem. For them, their only defense is mis-information. And they have the mighty pharmacutical industry behind them. ...RP Subject: Re: supplements per Wahl's protocol To: mscured Date: Saturday, December 27, 2008, 11:53 PM Hi , Fish oil thins the blood and supresses the immune system. Guest guest
-Hi , I agree completely. I was just in the hospital because my heart had started beating too fast and my blood pressure was elevated. Not only could the doctors not figure out why-- they said I was probably anxious- - the standard line when they don't know what is causing whatever is wrong with you. I told them I take fish oil and supplements and that I wanted to try iv supplements. The young doctor said any doctor that tells you to use " that stuff " would be just taking your money. He told me he wanted to run another MRI of my brain because he could definitely tell me what was wrong with me and I said-- how is that-- if I have more lesions you are definitely going to be able to tell me I have MS. He just had this blank look on his face. I know I don't have a medical degree and can't play doctor but this doctor needed to go back to school:) Meanwhile, I have to try to get my fast heartbeat to slow down and read online that potassium will help-- any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Guest guest
Unfortunatally most of the (research) is conducted by the pharmacutical entities. Because of course they have the money. Some times that fact is very hard to uncover. They hate fish oil because of all that it does. Having said that, I only speak from my own experiance. My experiance with the Mds outside of the hospital has been lousy. In the emergancy rooms, fantastic. I agree the better the diet the less supplementation needed. ...RP  -

Guest guest
Remember, as noted I was talking about how I deal with a Herxheimer reaction using fish oil. This is for a day or two, not for ever. All though I have seen no evidence that doing so would be harmful. There is evidence that even the FDA approves 4000mg of fish oil a day. ...RP Subject: Re: Re: supplements per Wahl's protocol To: mscured Date: Friday, December 26, 2008, 4:14 PM Hi Lydia, taking a lot of supplements is generally a good thing because it usually causes a cleanse. A cleanse mobilizes toxins that can cause a Herx. The only things that I have found to alleviate a Herx is more fish oil and vitamin C. How much is more? one capsule of fish oil every 4 hrs along with 1000mg vitamin C, even thru the night if you wake up. Start out with double the C if you have a cold or cough. Don't forget the Milk Thisle Extract. 1000mg capsule every 8 hrs to clear the liver. I use the Rexall brand from Wall-Mart. ...RP -
