Seems to be working fine with no reactions at all.
Guest guest
That is exactly the time when I had my reaction and it was a huge red area ( about 4 to 6 inches each) at every one of the 4 sites. I stopped for a week and a half and started in again and I did not have any more injection site reactions .Peggy from Fl.
Guest guest
I find much less injection site reaction in stomach rather than thigh. Try it. Usually every injection spot to date reacts with raised up red big blotches. Goes away in a few days. PatB

But I changed to my tummy, so the bruises are no longer on public display. Actually, I am finally getting a lot better. The tummy sounds more painful, but actually it is less painful!! About dull needles, I think that the rubber covering on the vial is extremely tough. I give my dog allergy shots, and the rubber covering on his vial is much thinner and easier to get the needle through. I probably bruise my dog on his shots also, but at least his are covered by hair. Fortunately, he doesn't complain!
Guest guest
Hi All... Started Enbrel over a month ago...my first 3 shots I had no injection site reactions, and I do alternate left and right thighs with injections each week...I use the sure click pen. However, with my fourth and fifth injection I had had really significant reactions...bright red, swollen, hard, itchy and eventually bruised areas...this last one about 6-7 inches in diameter...wondering if others have experienced this, and if so...will I eventually stop getting these reactions after more and more injections? They are so itchy and painful...looking for help from others...thanks! -- -Wisconsin-
Guest guest
Yeah, I moved it up to my stomach and it's quite happening. I think what happens is. It hits a vain or something in the thigh. .....Randy..... Sent via DROID on Verizon Wireless [ ] Enbrel Injection site reactions Hi All... Guest guest
Hi , that's about how mine progressed too. After six months or so, the hive is much smaller. I started taking benadryl at bedtime beginning the evening before injection and taking it for 2-3 nights. Then during the day I took Tagamet which has some antihistamine effects. Alternating the site can really help. I rotate 6 sites, either back of shoulder, navel, and thigh. And FWIW, I switched from Sureclick and I prefer the regular syringe, but that's a matter of personal preference. Best of luck, Kate F Sent from my iPad On Dec 13, 2010, at 12:10 PM, " " <burton_rr@...> wrote: > Hi All... > Started Enbrel over a month ago...my first 3 shots I had no injection site reactions, and I do alternate left and right thighs with injections each week...I use the sure click pen. Guest guest
I use my tummy, too. It's supposed to have fewer nerve endings. I occasionally hit a little blood vessel and have a bruise. Sometimes I have a mild injection site reaction, but it's about like a mosquito bite. After injecting, I rub some anti-itch cream on the site, and that seems to help.
