For a long time I didn't supplement after the Mannatech fiasco that left my

finances in a heap and didn't do much to improve my health. The claims sucked

me into their spell. I do take very limited types and quantities of

supplemental nutrients now, mostly minerals. I have believed that

fractionated/isolated/synthetic vitamins were inferior to natural vitamins from

food for a long time because of the co-factors that are often missing in the

pills. Not all vitamins are bad but there are a lot that are. You are your

best litmus test.

and what they may or may not contain; good reasoning for why we should seek out

our vitamins to either be organic or directly from organic or natural food

sources.

It's amazing that we never hear about glyconutrients anymore since they were

supposed to be so great. Mannatech was sued and lost in Texas for making

unsubstantiated claims. It was a class action suit and many people recieved

reimbursement for the purchases they made through the company. Mannatech joined

the CRN (Council for Responsible Nutrition), along with Phizer, Shaklee and

Monsanto (to name a few), and are involved in trying to pass CODEX by standing

behind the FDA. They are another profit driven company despite their claims of

being charitable. I had high hopes with their products but I don't anymore. I

liked too and I think she was a victim like the rest of us.
