Guest guest
We are sure glad to hear you are walking, . It will take some time but you have been looking forward to it for a long time. Next time we pass through your neck of the woods we will have a foot race to the restaurant. Your Mom will probably beat us all!! Good news on the blood work and we hope you will continue to improve rapidly. The changes are subtle aren't they? Thank God they keep on coming. Have you stored the wheelchair yet? Let us know when you do so we can have an online celebration. Wishing you well, Denny and Skip rheumatic test results Hi folks.........saw my doctor today and got results of latest blood work. Please notice the RF and the C-RP... considerably lower than when I began AP! Before my doctor told me the results, I said that I "felt" like the numbers were down........nothing I can put my finger on - very subtle changes. So glad when she confirmed this! Despite the surgery in February, and again 4 weeks ago! Reaffirms my belief in the AP. I feel like celebrating........except my back hurts so bad I can hardly move! This from walking ... can't wait to build these muscles up! PT begins next Monday. Be well all....... My mom, though, might have to take a rain check....she took a fall off the back step today and cracked a rib! We're just thankful that it wasn't something worse! Nope - haven't given up the wheelchair yet....nor the walker and cane. Doctor says he doesn't want to see me in the hospital with broken bones and to take advantage of the added support from the walker. It's so awkward, though. Take a step, stop, move the walker, take a step, stop........very irritating! So, I'll use my cane, and a family members arm, and take my time....then usually it's my back that makes me stop! Anyway, most days I wonder if I'll ever get to a point where I can just get up and walk, without so much pain. Then I remind myself that it's only been 30 days since last surgery.........it's hard to see day to day improvement, you know? Considering that 6 months ago I couldn't even take two steps without screaming pain, and now I'm doing 20 to 40 feet before I have to stop. And, it's a much different pain. Well, it will be interesting to see where I am in 29 more days. Hope all is well with you guys..........take care and be well.......

Guest guest
Sent this to Bev earlier, and then thought perhaps there are others here on these antifungals who may need the heads-up on this warning r.e. Sporanox, so I'm forwarding it to the group also. ~~~~~ Bev, Lord I hate to say this, but I'm worried about your postings about shortness of breath. I was just poking around on the FDA website looking for something else, and ran across this warning on Sporanox that was just released. http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/answers/2001/ans01083.html Fatigue, weakness and shortness of breath are classic symptoms of CHF. I really hate to alarm you when you are feeling so badly, but please, please, please see another doctor and ask them about this. {{{{{{{{{Bev}}}}}}}} Liz G. Guest guest
Liz, The fatigue comes and goes. I have energy but just can't access it sometimes. Today I'm a washout because we were so busy yesterday. Walked all over the mall and then went for a walk in the field. At the time I was okay, but today short of breath again. Woke up during the night with it several times, then it was okay. When I was on Sporonox and first developed these symptoms I was told it was the toxins coming out. Also shortness of breath is a symptom of my illness too, so it is hard to know what is causing it. Thyroid, etc. Thanks Liz. Am checking it out. Guest guest
I tried taking that Tribulus and man did it ever wreak havoc on my gut. I had an upset stomach for about 4 weeks after only taking it for 2 days. I could not tolerate it.
Guest guest
grandslam2,<br><br>Basically,Tribulus Terrestris works by increasing your LH and FSH production, which in turn will increase your own testosterone production. It's over the counter in most health food stores. I take 750mg daily (at same time). I saw a study, and will have to look for it to post here, where subjects took up to 1500 mg daily with no ill side effects. I'm going to try this in addition to the 10g AG I presently am on now. <br><br>
Guest guest
Friend:<br><br>If you are taking 1/2 mg every day, I would not go beyond that based upon your estrodiol levels. Generally speaking, you want to have some estrodiol in the blood and 32 is ideal...usually speaking 15 to 30 is the best range for a male according to LEF and my doc. So were you to up the dosage to 1mg every day, IMO that would be too much. Remember that arimidex has a very long circulation life of around 36 to 48 hours, according to my doc, so a little goes along way. Bodybuilders that are taking extreme amounts of testosterone like 600 mg a week only take 1/4 1mg tab per day to control the " females " . I'd just stay where you are at. The most important thing when reading lab results is how you feel. Do you have energy, positive mood, libido, and cognitive function...if so...then the dosing is correct. I hope it helps!<br><br>cya<br><br>LDSlifter<br><br> " Have you checked your " females " today? "

Guest guest
If you wish to do something about your free t levels, you could consider using stinging nettle extract (Urtica dioica).<br><br>Various claims are made for it usually including binding with SHBG and increasing free t. Guest guest
I had a good conversation today with a pharmacist at a compounding pharmacy, and we covered Estradiol and how it effects SHBG, and in turn how SHBG effects your free T. He told me that your SHBG would decrease after your E2 is decreased, but that it would take about 30 to 60 days to flush excess SHBG from your system. So possibly your free T may increase a little in a month or two.

Guest guest
Your situation sounds complex, but I don't think that it is. Although your estradiol is not testing off the charts or super high, I am guessing that your free etradiol is probably high and that regardless, Estradiol is your current problem. I feel like crap if all I take is HCG, but if I take HCG with Arimidex (arimidex when needed, not every day), then I feel quite good! As for breast growth etc. this can completely be halted with Arimidex. I recommend that you figure out a way to get a prescription, or get your doctor to give you a one month prescription of it and then show him the results and prove to him that it works. I don't know much about the liver values, I also don't know if HCG can have a bad effect on the liver, however, high estradiol will cause a ton of health problems and it will keep you from getting the benefits of TRT. My recommendation is: FOCUS all of your efforts on getting an anti aromatise and adding it to the equation. (Also, look into the liver thing, I am speaking for well being, FOCUS your efforts on getting arimidex.) Guest guest
Hey Joe, Unfortunately, I do not have lot of time to reply, but I agree, the reference range may be for women. What lab did you go to? You may want to call them up to see what the reference range is for men. One of the important questions you need to ask yourself, is how do you feel? Are you feeling better on HCG? Better than on Gels? I know some Drs. will combine HCG and TRT to boost T and preserve testes form. Your endo should be concerned about E2. I believe there is a good abstract in the files section on using an anti-E to raise T in the elderly. If someone did this, surely is can be used to lower E in a health adult. Good Luck > Hey: > > Just got blood work back after being on HCG (my only form of TRT) > since March 17, 2004. Guest guest
Hey Guys: I may be 50 but I do not consider myself to have one foot in the grave as of yet. ;-) I found it quite amusing that you said " I believe there is a good abstract in the files section on using an anti-E to raise T in the elderly. " I got a good laugh out of that. The blood is drawn at the doctors office by phlebotomist from Quest Labs. I think I will call Quest to see if these ranges are for men or women. Thanks to all of you who responded. I know that I definitely am going to have to do something about the E2. Lower the HCG to 500 units 2X a week from the 750 starting last night. I do think I feel some better but still have brain fog and low energy levels. However, that is probably due to the fact that I have sleep apnea and am not tolerating CPAP very well (during the night I usually take the mask off and don't remember doing it and the next morning it is on the floor.) Seeing the doctor about that the end of May. It would be great if I could get the sleep apnea under control and all the other problems go away. Hey, I have hope and have no intentions of giving up, but it sure can get discouraging dealing with and trying to educate the medical professionals that have the medical degrees who we pay to treat us and depend on to know this stuff. Hang in there guys and thanks again. Joe N Montgomery Alabama > > Hey Joe, > > Unfortunately, I do not have lot of time to reply, but I agree, the > reference range may be for women. Guest guest
Joe, Good for you. I prefer " maturer " to " old " / " elderly " . I'm 66 and still " feel/act like a boy " which I think is influenced by being Gay. Guest guest
The number of options can be confusing. I would do the simple, well-established things first and leave the more esoteric stuff for later. Please look at the AACE clinical guidelines which you can find among the Links. Page 5 includes the following observation: " In addition, a high prolactin level can reduce libido and potency even in men treated with therapeutic doses of testosterone. " Were I in your shoes, I would attend to the prolactin level before trying other things. Best wishes, Brad > Here are some test results that came back abnormal. Guest guest
What does of AG are u on? It is obviously not working for you. You either need a WAY higher dose of AG or another form of TRT. As for your age and 'starting to wear down', forget it. You will feel great once you get a proper solve for your problem. Right now, your T level is WAAAAY too low. 99% of us here would feel absolutely terrible at that level. Armyguy > Here are some test results that came back abnormal.
