remicade, rituxan infusions

i have been on orencia for 6 months with no improvement.doctor wants

me to start on remicade or rituxan.

i read about rituxan-( warning ) 24 hours after first dose there has been deaths

reported.

remicade- almost same as orencia.

any one on either one of these drugs, any input will be helpful.

if so how long did it take to work, side effects

Hi Ann.

I have used Remicade and am currently will be going on my third course of

Rituxan. For me the Rituxan gave me more relief and I have not had any

reaction from it. With Remicade the first few infusions I did develop itchy

skin, but after awhile I never had any problem. Each person reacts

differently.

When you read everything they have to print regarding the drugs it is enough

to make you not want to take them, but I know I would not be functioning

without them.

I am 50 and have had RA for over three years now.

Hi Ann,

I have been on Rituxan for over 1/12 years. I get my infusions every six months

2 treatments and to this date have had no major side effects. My joint damage

and pain has been decreasing as time goes by. I tried other meds with no

effect. my side effects is sometime a little nauseous and tired but I know this

happens with all other meds so if I feel this way once in awhile I will take

this and feel better the rest of the days. You can email at anytime if you need
