Shaky hands

Hello all,

I'm really freaked out!

I just finished making dinner, sat down at the computer and my right hand (or

more specifically, my ring finger and pinkie) started shaking! Like my fingers

had a mind of their own - they were bobbing up and down violently. I can't

control them! As soon as I stood up, it lessened (did not stop).

If I bend my wrist the shaking starts again. I've eaten a sugar cookie, thinking

it might be low blood sugar (but I'm not diabetic) - but I don't know what to

do.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this an RA thing, or something else?

Thanks,

rhiannon

hi, don't post often but this happens to me. Do you take methotrexate or

avara? I started having tremors in my right hand, got so bad my rheumy sent

me to a neurologist. after every imaginable test, the verdict was

methotrexate. I quit taking it, but the tremors never stopped completely.

They got worse again when I started Avara, so we backed that down to the

lowest possible dose. I still have tremors, had one tonight where my hand

shook so badly that you could hear the piece of paper I was holding, lasted

a good ten minutes this time. First in in over a month . . . I keep hoping

that they're gone, but they keep coming back, usually when I'm tired,

stressed, cold, etc. Docs all say don't worry unless they bother me, then

take the anti-tremor med the neuro gave me. But, the tremors don't last

long enough to make that worthwhile.

Tremors can mean lots of different things. so would be good to get it

checked out. Hope it turns out to be nothing.
