Guest guest
There are many people here on the Best Bet Diet (BBD) and it doesn't seem to always work perfectly for everyone. I was just talking to someone on another MS site who said she'd given up all the foods suggested by the BBD (gluten, lactose, legumes) but was still feeling bad. She hadn't realised that the reason for deletion of the gluten, dairy, legumes, etc. is not because we might have allergies to them, it is because they play into aggravating MS and without them you stand a better chance of not getting progression. That is the mistake so many people make. See the BBD as something that is helping in the background, more an insurance policy against further problems. Get a food intolerance test like ELISA too. If the ELISA doesn't throw anything up, try a rotation diet, keeping a food diary. Do not eat any of the same ingredients within 4 days - even goes for your supplements too until you've pinpointed the culprit. I realise a lot of the longer-standing members of this group already know this or have chosen to do their own thing but this might clear up some preconceptions for people new to MS/BBD/MS-Cured.
