I don't know anything about military insurance or whether they will

cover you if you have to go out of state. I think it might depend on

getting a primary care physician recommend the DS proceedure - as

opposed to the RNY. Again, I don't know how the military insurance

works but I wish you the very best. And hopefully someone out there

who knows will give you a good answer.

Dear Melinda:

All of my last batch of mail was thrown out into cyber space so I have not

seen your request regarding information about TriCare so please e-mail me and

I will try to help. I have TriCare my DH is active duty Navy.

TriCare did not pay for my DS I had CIGNA PPO at the time but TriCare did

pay for Duffy's and what TriCare did not cover her supplemental did cover.

TriCare did cover my hernia repair, tummy tuck and breast reduction and

when my Dr's sent in their paperwork I was in Pensacola, Fla. and I had my

surgery in LA although DH was transferred before I had the surgery so

actually I only went from Washington State to LA.

Duffy is in the midst of moving so she hasn't been on the list but I am

sure she will also help as soon as she gets back on the list.

What TriCare do you have? I have Standard and go to whatever doctor I want

and my supplemental covers everything TriCare doesn't.

Huggles
