first humira injection

I had my first Humira injection on Tuesday, and based on the information I read

here gave it to myself in the belly area instead of the thigh. Fortunately for

me I have a tiny (ha!) amount of belly flab, so it was easy. The pain was quite

bearable, and it wasn't to hard to do it myself. I don't feel any improvement

yet, but fortunately don't have any side effects either. Can any of you tell me

how long to expect to feel any improvement, if it is going to work for me that

is.

Thanks

Joan in Fair Oaks.

Hi Joan,

I only have a few days jump on your first Humira shot - took my first one

last week. So far, like you, no side effects, but no improvement either.

My rheumy told me it could take 6 months for it to totally kick in and get

the full benefits from it. She also said that she has had very positive

results with her patients that are on Humira, so I am feeling very

optimistic! I would also love to hear of others' experiences with Humira.

Best wishes to you for success with Humira!
