Guest guest
Hi and those watching the trials. I started a bit late on the superfatted soap and oil because I was on holidays but wanted to keep up with the rest of the trial. I have been using them now for 5 days. My main comment is that I seem to be enjoying some reduced redness and better looking skin as a result of the oil and soap. I normally use a pH neutral soap (ego bath wash) just to be gentle and no moisturiser as such. The oil is not as greasy after a few minutes as I had thought, my skin is softer than before which is not too suprising considering I don't normally use a moisturiser, but I'm seeing less redness and more normal looking pink skin poking through on my nose where the rosacea is present. I use the rosacea-ltd disks in the morning and night on top of the oil which feels a bit strange but so far hasn't changed the effectiveness of the disks - and may even be helping the skin not get too dry from the disks. The soap feels gentle but soap hasn't really been a problem in the past because I don't seem to react to them. Although I may be reacting but not realise. One thing I am beginning to notice is that the first time for years I'm getting some blackheads on my nose. This was impossible for years and years because you couldn't see any pores. My guess is that the rosacea-ltd has sorted the pores out and now they are getting clogged. Not a hassle really but very strange for me. I don't normally talk about myself in such detail, honest, but here I have to ! I'm suprised and delighted enough to keep using the soap and oil to see if any more improvement is possible. davidp. -- J. Guest guest
, Thanks for your input. With such interested and analytical subjects, I can't help but think that we'll get some solid conclusions from this project. Again, I encourage the volunteers to be objective and frank in their assessments. Good and bad responses should be posted. This is the only way we can learn about rosacea skin. Reactions to any products do not necessarily reflect on quality of the product but are dependent on the subject's individual skin sensitivities. Although this is such a small group, we may still be able to accomplish our goal. Sy MDhttp://www.lindasy.com Sy soap and oil progress Hi and those watching the trials. Guest guest
Hi and group, A report from Carol.... Yesterday, using the oil and soap, I had bunches of small red " zits " frontally--now, this is where I get extremely dry, so I'm wondering if I tried to apply too much oil to that area and got a break-out reaction? I do, on occasion, try very hard to fight the scales and flakes, but this is also where most of the rosacea seems to occur. Today, I'm not " flaky " on the front of my cheeks, and those small pimples seem to have mostly disappeared! Guest guest
Carol, I suggest that you reduce the oil to 1-2 drops for the entire face while still wet. As explained, it is supposed to serve as a protective shield for now in case anyone has inflammation. So, it's best not to overdo.
