Guest guest
I get my delievered as well. My co-pay is $35 but that is picked up through the enbrel assist program. So in reality I get it for free at this point. I can not afford even my co-pay. Re: [ ] Enbrel Hi Lynn, I don't know what your pharmacy charges, but when I was on it and picked it up, it would show that the insurance paid 1400.00 I had to pay 70.00 Heidibug On Sat, Dec 6, 2008 at 9:32 AM, crj129 <crj129@...> wrote: > My hubby has pulmonary fibrosis caused by RA. Guest guest
Hi Phil! While I've not been on Enbrel, I'm on Humira and we think it's loosing it's effectiveness. I'm on MTX as well. I've already decided that if I have to move on to another medication, I'm doing it. I'm determined to squeeze as much out of life as I can, so I'll take my chances. I'm 32 and the mother of two girls (2nd grad and Kindergarten) so I've got to do what I can to be there for them. I do have side effects from most of my medications, but so far they aren't anything life threatening. At least with the Humira I had no side effects (that I know of). Good luck finding something to get your flare settled down. It's somehow even worse after you've seen some improvement to go through it all over again. Guest guest
I inject Humira once every two weeks. We've just upped the MTX to 8 pills a week, so it will be a few more weeks to see if that will do it. Guest guest
Have you considered increasing your Humira to every 10 days or even once a week? Guest guest
I'll bring it up at my next visit. I wonder how much that would effect the immune system though? I know that I get sick more often, and worse, than I did prior to starting all of these medications. I really don't want to change if I don't have to because this really has helped me in the past. Guest guest
-- Enbrel has been a life saver for me! I am 28 and was diagonsed with RA when I was 16 years old. I was scared to try it, but after I did, the very next day, I was washing dishing and actually dancing to some music in the background and didn't even realize it, my husband did -- and he was shocked!!! Enbrel has allowed me to live a " normal " life - I have been on Enbrel for about 2 years, and am pregnant now and still on it. My pregnancy has been perfect, the baby looks great (due in 3 weeks!!) and I still feel good. They have also said its ok to breastfeed on too -- I hope this has helped, give it a shot, I hope you will feel the same!! Krissy A. Guest guest
I would just like to echo what others have said. Enbrel also gave me my life back. I had been forced to quit working and was consistently exhausted and in pain. Within 2 weeks of my first injection, I was a new person. I have been taking Enbrel for over 2 years now. I had to go off of it for a couple of weeks prior to knee replacement surgery. I could tell the difference almost immediately. For me, the benefits overshadow the possible side effects. I hope it does the same for you. Take care, Pat
Guest guest
Hi Heidi, A big thank you to you for your welcome. Just wish I'd known about this group earlier. What a lovely bunch of people! Like you Heide, I really miss working, in a way it's been like a bereavement,a great loss. I've always felt you lose your identity almost. Anyway, no more of that doom and gloom, I've got a whole new world opened up to me now. I hope I can help others along the way and make a few friends too. Think it may be because I'm in the UK, but the date on this is fri mar 20 at 08.19am whereas here it is still thu at 8.29pm. Tomorrow, I'll be doing my 2nd Enbrel injection and hoping for a change in my condition, even if it's minimal. Humira did nothing for me, but I sincerely hope it does for you. Heidi, thank you again for taking the time to chat, much appreciated. Kindest regards --- In , Heidi Mendelsohn <hmendelsohn@...> wrote: > > Hi > Welcome to the group. Guest guest
For me the cymbalta made me feel worse ... I hurt more, just wanted to sit on the couch and not move and I even think the depression was worse. Have tried other SSRI's and none of them seem to agree with me. Guest guest
Hi Clora, Meds work different on everyone, but the Cymbalta is amazing. My appetite is the same. I went so long with horrible pain, and I didn't realize it was the fibro. I am so better, my fatigue is way down too. My family is amazed at the change in me. The med also helps neuropathy pain, which I have. I take neurontin for it, and I'm hoping in 6 months, I can go off it. If your having fibro pain, I say try it. You have to try something to see if it works. You take care, Tawny > > Tawny, I am glad it's helping you . Does the cymbalta make you eat more? I am so glad to hear you are feeling much better. Guest guest
I have been on Cymbalta for 4 years- miracle drug. Helped so much with the Fibro. pain AND the Depression! No weight gain, no shakes, no fuzziness, no anything! Only helped me! When the Fibro. kicks hard, I take Lyrica and that helps put it back in its place. The Dr. has talked to me about Savella in place of the Cymbalta if needed. I have only positive experiences with this med and ow it has helped me. We all react differently to meds, just keep trying until you find the right ones for you. Guest guest
Thanks Barbara, Its so wonderful to be feeling better. I have been suffering for many years, so for a relief, its incredible. Guest guest
Thanks Clora, for all your kind words and prayers. It means so much to me. I hope the enbrel works for you. I was on it for awhile, and it just wasn't working well. The doctor put me back on humira. I've been on it for quite awhile. It does help keep me mobile. Yes, fibro can show its ugly self. I just never knew fibro was so painful. I am hoping the med keeps helping me. It is so worth it. Good luck on the enbrel, keep us posted. We just have to keep trying meds, until we get the right one to help. Take care my friend, Tawny > > Tawny,,,, If there's one thing I learned from RA, it's that medicine works different on people. I remember when you was in constant pain. My heart went out to you during that time. We may be doing better but sometimes we have something else like fibro. I am praying for you Tawny. Guest guest
Yes, this all started within the first week of me starting this med. Also, a bone deep tiredness. The mood starts to elevate a little bit by the end of the 7 days, then it is time for another shot. The Dr. says to keep on and the tiredness might go away. Atleast, the 24/7 nausea went away after 3 weeks! I wonder if it is all worth it. I am 13 days out without the shot, to see if this will all get right. So far, no. Guest guest
Nae, I've been on Enbrel for over 5 years, without mtx or prednisone. I can't take mtx because it causes my white blood cell count to be so low. I have had no adverse reactions, except an occasional injection site reaction. The Enbrel works very well for me, so well that at present I am spacing out the injections more. Sue On Aug 6, 2009, at 5:41 PM, dazot24 wrote: > > Is there anyone here who takes Enbrel?
