Guest guest
, ANA = antinuclear antibodies As many as 5 to 10% of seemingly healthy people are ANA-positive. Perhaps 30% of people with rheumatoid arthritis are ANA-positive. Probably the most useful application of the ANA test is to rule out lupus. If the ANA is negative, it makes a lupus diagnosis extremely unlikely. On the other hand, a positive ANA does not mean lupus. ANA-positivity is associated with many conditions or even nothing at all. http://www.medicinenet.com/antinuclear_antibody/article.htm Not an MD On Sat, Dec 19, 2009 at 6:43 PM, melissa <angels4hailee@...> wrote: > Hi where in AZ do you live and may I ask who you see for your RA and > Fibro? Guest guest
That's funny.... I was given the name of 2 doctors from my wonderful primary doctor. She gave me Dr. Pace and Dr. Fairfax. The soonest apt. I could get with Dr. Pace was for March 1st, and I took it. I don't actually have RA as far as I know cuz I don't really have problems with my joints. I don't see anyone for fibro cuz there isn't really anything that can be done about it. It's really up to me to excercise and eat right. And take my SSRI that helps keep the pain away. There is a support group though. I hope Dr. Pace can figure out what the inflamation is all about in my body. Chris > > Hi where in AZ do you live and may I ask who you see for your RA and > Fibro?
