RA is a sneaky devil, that's a good way to describe it! When I was taking the

oral MTX I usual had diner, waited an hour and then took it with food on my

stomach. I took it as late as possible to try to sleep off the worst of the side

effects. Then I counted the next day as " hangover " day because I wasn't much

good for anything. Occasionally it would do things like you say so there are

weeks when you never know what to expect.

Seattle, Sun!

[ ] RA is a sneaky devil

Hi group:

So I was feeling better after my 2nd dose of MTX , only slept all nite Friday

and until 5PM Sat, got up felt better.  yesterday, I felt really ok , no

swelling, mild stiffness.  Last night the jaw was aching badly, it made me

miserable, today too (ugh!).  The nausea started up again too, this morning.

Has anybodies nausea skipped a day after a dose of MTX and then come back?

Has anyone noticed that their timing becomes a little off too?  I have a little

confusion and a slight delay.

Worried because my rheumy wants me to stop prednisone , so I am trying to follow

her directions.  I will see what happens.

Still deciding whether which side of heaven the MTX is :)

Sorry bout all this reporting, but I am sure I have plenty of buddies out there

in RA land.

OKD

You guys are sooo right!! When I was still working I had to organize my days off

according to when I took the MTX. And there is always the day lag before you

feel the brunt of the effects. I've been taking it for ten years and its gotten

a little better but not much. But boy do I feel it if I miss a shot! So " you

can't live with it, you can't live without it " heeeeheee MicheleBB P.S. I hope

the sun is shining in Seattle Stan! hahaha

I have always wanted to go to Seattle. I think it would be the perfect city for

me because I love rainy days!!! So viva Seattle!! heehee MicheleBB

> Our news people here are really terrible. The thing people don't know about

Seattle is that it looks like a huge city, but the fact is that it is really

not. There's only six million people in the whole State. There's around two

million in and around the Seattle area. Comparing to Los Angeles , there's

twenty-million in Los Angles county alone! So the local news crews are

constantly competing with each other to get the ratings. The result is we have

the " National Enquirer " of news. They are constantly exaggerating everything in

the clips to get people to watch. The point is, we have had a good roll of " no

rain " days and we might even set a record, like fourteen whole days without

rain. The News reports people are getting nervous about it, people want the

rain. What? NO THEY DON'T. What people? Where? Lol ! Everyone is enjoying it,

it's kinda like what it should be like - normal! And when the weather is bad,

well, they report it in " biblical " dimensions - makes me laugh!

Hi Stan: I so agree with you about RA and the meds. we take. The MTX

pills made me so sick 24/7, I felt like I was dying. The inject. has

worked so good for me. I hope I can always stay on MTX.

Glad to see you are having so many sunny days.. always sunny here in

S.W. Flordia, most afternoons we are lucky to be having rain. We needed

it so badly. I love rainy days but we don't get many for all day and

all night. Darn!!

Hoping you are feeling better, and wishing you pain free days ahead.

Hugs,

Barbara
