Guest guest
Yes I did. I was giving people another reason not to take it while on an AD. Plus there are some ADs out there that can mess with the effectiveness of birth control. I had to switch drugs to find one that didn't get screwed up by my ADs. It's not something that most psych docs talk about unless you bring it up. My guess is because most of them are male so they don't think about the possible effects on reproduction. > > > > > > Yes there are dangers. > > > Like you cant take Gensing if your energy levels > > are already high. > > > St s wort is dangerous with many > > antidepressants too. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Luann, I wish I could help, but I wasn't taking the supplements for anxiety. I've been lucky to find cognitive behavioral stuff that works for my anxiety. Good thing, too... because I'm pretty stubborn about meds in the first place. It took a long time for them to convince me to take ADs. It was to help increase my energy and also help with the depression. But it was pretty long ago that I stopped taking them... like three years. (That whole stubbornness about pills again!) So I really don't remember what I was taking. I'm sorry I couldn't be helpful. Guest guest
Luann, Been there. If you have recently experienced that again with the med thing. I'd encourage you to take it one step at a time. Figure its being started on low doses anyway so the odds are you will be just fine with it. Guest guest
Mark -- I was so depressed for almost 7 years when I started on 10 mg of Lexapro this spring. The only things I were living for was family obligation and the Harry Potter books. After the first week of so didn't have any problems with nausea or tiredness. A very good friend of mine has been on the Lexapro/Wellbutrin combo for yyears, and is a very happy camper. Guest guest
I just read on the Lexapro site that you shouldn't take NSAID's, including aspirin, with Lexapro because it can cause gastrointestinal bleeding as well as bleeding at other sites in your body. I was disappointed to read this because aspirin is my drug of choice for chronic pain. Colleen > > I would caution everybody about taking supplements > with your meds. Guest guest
I have been on Lex since February, tried to quit had horrible withdrawls. Anyway, I take mine at night and notice that about every 4-5 days I have an extremely sleepy day but the others are ok. I do best if I take it by 9 pm, if I take it any later I am just about worthless the next day. Guest guest
, you are NOT posting too much - this forum is for people to get help when they need it and if you are concerned and it helps to post then continue. But do try to trust Dr P - sometimes it takes a while to get sorted out and many of us know this. Dr P has got lots of people well so try to trust that he knows what he's doing. Whatever the cause of how you are feeling I think some sort of relaxation would help you to cope - have you got a meditation tape or something you could try? Anxiety is anxiety whether you know the reason or not. Just trying to support you and offer you a practical suggestion based on my experience. I can only speak for myself but you aren't getting on my nerves at all. As a matter of fact I often wonder how you're doing during the daytime and it's good to see your posts. You're actually being a lot more sensible than some of us have been, in that you're doing the best possible thing when you feel down by sharing your feelings. That is an awful lot better than suffering in silence because you're afraid of what folk might think. There is hope , it's just a matter of time and patience. I used to feel sick and anxious all the time just like yourself and I too despaired of it never ending. I often felt I wanted to give up, I'd had enough. I too never knew what symptom was from what, I still don't altogether actually. A lot of it is a guessing game, a waiting game. But in time both you and I and the others on this forum will find our answers and things will improve for us. Some have an easier time than others, find their answers sooner. And that cam be very frustrating for those of us at the back of the queue as it were still struggling to get through each day. But our time will come , so please don't give up hope of getting on the right track. You could be on it right now, just haven't gone far enough along the road yet. Meanwhile, keep posting. We don't mind honestly we don't. We understand because we've been there, perhaps are still there. Sorry to go on a bit but I do feel for you so much and just wanted you to encourage you that relief will come. It's probably just around the corner.
