Guest guest
Hi , My Dr. is a breast exam man, but I do trust his medical opinion... BUT I went to my OBGYN for my yearly exam today, and she gave me the name of a really good FEMALE Rheum here in town. I will find her # and get it to you. I am also in need of an OB-GYN in the area as well. And a pain management doc too. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Guest guest
Hey, I am in Columbia, SC and my rheumy is the Professor of Rheumetolgy at the Medical University of SC. I'll ask him if he has anyone he recommends in Charlotte. I also suffer from tremendously painful toes and have two small kids to chase around. I would greatly appreciated that. My group (internist, Rheumy, Surgon, and Pain) of docs in Greenville are great and after being associated with them for all these years it is hard to decide to make a change, but the drive to and from Greenville (3.5 hours round trip) is getting to be hard on me. Charlotte is only 1 hour round trip, so I am going to bit the bullet and change for convienence. Plus with two boys in school it is hard and I hate them having to miss days so I can make doctor's appointments!
Guest guest
Hi there sportslnq, I'm actively seeking better care than I have been able to access in Georgia... all that is not Atlanta that is.. I live in Augusta, about an hour and half from Columbia SC... I am having a great deal of trouble finding someone who can see past no sausage digits, no gross deformities but miserably deteriorating tendons and ligaments. The folks here all look at my fingers and toes and can't seem to grasp PA as something bigger. Please let me know if you've seen anyone with more vision. Thanks, Deborah
Guest guest
If the bones can't move the pain is greatly reduced. I will eventually be having a fusion of joints towards the back of my foot, but fortunately I was able to get a brace that has reduced the pain so that I can wait a few more years. I have had what is called a forefoot reconstruction at the toes and ball of my foot and it has been a big help So it depends what area of the foot the problem is in. I'd say that you have to be the judge of how much pain you can bear - it's easy to advise against an invasive procedure like that but only you know how bad it feels. Sometimes a fusion in the foot will stabilize it so that can be a factor Annette On Sun, Feb 6, 2011 at 7:52 PM, ricardo joh <ricardoyalicia@...> wrote: > Dear arthritis colleagues, my rheumatologist indicated that an option to > relive the pain in my L.H. foot is to have my bones fused, has anybody > gone through this procedure, and your opinions refering to this, I do'nt > know what to do, my kids (grownup) told me not to do it. > regards > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > Thi >

Guest guest
Thank you for your information, I've read that in some cases the fusion was not what expected, in my case I think it would be between the navicular and medial @ intermediate cuniforme. I think I will wait some time and see. regards > From: Annette <anetto@...> > Subject: Re: [ ] Bone Fusion > > Received: Sunday, February 6, 2011, 11:06 PM > If the bones can't move the pain is > greatly reduced.
