Also, my rheumy told me that Enbrel and Remicade will be approved for PA in the near future. Don't know if he can wait, so if not, most rheumatologists will " fudge " it a little and call it RA. I think mine came up with polyarthritis w/ sero neg and psoriasis. PatB
Guest guest
Dear Liz, I agree with Connie about the test for hormones for menopause. I had it, too, and though the test said I wasn't in menopause, my body said differently! I've had problems for the past 20 months, I'm 51 now, and I KNOW I got menopause for my 50th birthday present! Gee, THANKS BODY! Seriously, though, you know your own body best, and I'd suggest you just trust instincts. CelticJade (Judy D.)

My fatigue (which I had been feeling for a week or so) went away the next morning. After trying Methotrexate and Arava, Remicade is like a miracle drug for me. dd

Guest guest
I just had my third infusion of Remicaid & I haven't felt this good since I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago. I started feeling good after 1 week after the initial infusion. This (the 3rd) infusion I have been really tired. Its been 3 days & I'm still tired but not like I was the 1st & 2nd day after this infusion. I took Humera & it caused high blood pressure with me. Then I took Enbrel. It reduced my symptoms but didn't stop it. Remicaid has stopped all of my symptoms except the fatigue but that is reduced alot. I look forward to the infusions cause I feel better after them. Good luck Jill > > thank you so much for the info. They also have some snacks and juice or water. My clinic also has WiFi, so I bring my computer and catch up on email, etc. dd

Guest guest
I get Remicade infusions as well every six weeks. Yes, it does leave you exhausted the day of the infusion, at least, it does me. It is my wonder drug as well as I failed MTX. Enbrel, Humira, Simponi, Orencia. I actually take a laptop and do work but by the end of the infusion I am exhausted. I take a preload of tylenol and atarax to reduce chances of side effects, but I've taken atarax many times before without it even phasing me. So I believe the actual infusion just has this effect. I felt like i was moving through water last time. I can't go back to work afterwrds that day but am fine the next day.

She said to not stress myself and " let it have its way with me. " Last month, I was a little tired the day of the infusion, but felt wonderful the next day. This month, I was really tired for three days, then had a flare on the 4th day. My body ached in every joint. I was working and could hardly walk. When I got home, I took paid meds as prescribed, then laid down. In a few hours, the pain was gone and I'm back to my new normal. dd
