Guest guest
Sorry insurance company! These companies think they know better than our doctors about our treatment. Their bottom line is money. They should be thankful that plaquenil is so cheap compared to the biologic meds. My insurance company took a month to approve me for Enbrel initially. They made my doctor and his staff jump through many, many hoops. I had to go that month with no RA medication, and it was awful. I have had to go off of Enbrel periods of time when I had infections. The longest time was three weeks. My RA behaved itself, thank goodness. When I resumed Enbrel, it worked just as well. But I can see that in some instances it might take a while for the med to build up in your body again. It's too bad we can't sue our insurance companies for the pain and suffering they cause us. I hope the plaquenil will start working for you again very soon. Guest guest
the same with me, it has taken me 6 months for the plaquenil to start helping me too. now it is doing great, as for the swelling. still have so much pain in my back tho, from the DDD . betty On 10/23/10, LNWILD@... <LNWILD@...> wrote: > 6 months? Guest guest
Perhaps you should sue your insurance company for negligence since they did not even know what medications they covered and caused your RA to progess by witholding your med.
