Guest guest
. I am not really sure what it means. THe doctor told me that when they do the slit test that they are measuring the number of white blood cells. Similar to your blinds in your house. That's how he referred it to me. He said that when the laser is shone into their eys white blood cells may appear. If they can count them individualy it is not good, but nothing too serious. The 1+ etc. refers to the clusters of white blood cells and usually indicates that there are too many cells to count. I believe 3+ is the worse. He told us that we want to see few or rare and that means we are in the clear. I am not sure if I explained it correctly... Maybe someone else can chime in? Guest guest
What does the Doctor say about Logan's perscription increasing every time? Does he or has he taken the eye drops too? Sorry to hear that even with close monitoring his perscription continues to increase? Does the Doctor feel this will level out at some point? ***************************************************** The Dr doesn't say much about it increasing everytime. he just feels that,at some point,it will level off. I don't know, though,,because my daughter, who is 11,,is still having hers increased, pretty often. No,,he doesn't take the drops. He doesn't have uveitis,or iritis,,just really bad vision. Guest guest
Hi there!! One of my favorite experiences with coconut oil was with an " EYE INFECTION " !! I had read in on of my coconut oil books about someone using coconut oil for a sinus infection. I had a day where my left eye started to get a bit scrathcy feeling while I was casing my mail. As the day passed, it got worse, I had an eye infection. That night remembering what I had read, I decided to take my VCO which was solid at the time, and melt a small portion into each eye, every couple of hours. I was also scared that the infection would spread to my sinus cavities, so I tilted my head back and put some coconut oil up my nostrils, also. By about NOON the next day, I was feeling MUCH better, but, I continued the applications, and was completely cured by the following day! This may SOUND cruel, but, it's actually a VERY SAFE way not only to do this, but to generally give a resistant child, medication. Sit down on the floor, place your childs head right up next to you, between your legs, and put the childs arms under your legs. Now your child cannot move it's head back and forth, and you can give or apply what ever medications you need to without hurting the child, or getting upset with it. A neat TRICK, is if you need the child to swallow something, put whatever it is, or part of it, into your childs mouth, and then BLOW into their face! This causes an automatic reaction of them swallowing. TRY it IT works!!!Anyway, in this position, you could also open up your childs EYE, and put a bit of coconut oil into it. Again, without hurting either YOU or your CHILD!! Your child may not like this approach, BUT it IS effictive. You could also take this oppertunity to put a bit on VCO into each nostril, thus helping to get rid of any nasty sinus BUGGERS that may be trying to get hold.Hope that this can be of some help! I've raised 8 kids, so I know a few tricks!!GOOD LUCK!!G. Guest guest
Hi there,I'm back again...As for your childs skin problems...use the expellar pressed coconut oil! It's a bit cheaper but not lacking in quality!!As for your Breast Milk, have you gotten all of the vegetable oils OUT of your diet? You and your child would be much better off. Read the lables of EVERYTHING that you buy at the store, it's a bit time consuming, but it pays off in the end. Is your baby on SOY milk? If so, I would truly recommend that you go STRICTLY to breast!! Soy products, despite all their publicity, are NOT as good for you ( OR YOUR CHILD) as as they would have you believe!! You can research this on the inter-net. Yes, YOU need to watch what you put INTO your body as you are supplying that to your child! Mind you that your body will STEAL from ITSELF to give your child the nutrients that are required.AGAIN, GOOD LUCK!!G. Hannatwinkieha2@.... USE THE COCONUT OIL!! Guest guest
Hi stuck, The Taiwan master always makes VCO into ice cubes, rub it onto her eye when she is in pain. Try it, it should help. Reason being our pore will open up when contact with sudden freeze cold, this will spend up the absorption of VCO. Being prepared to see swollen eye or rashes on it. The adult saw take 1 month the swollen go off, your baby I think within a week may be fine, if she a little girl, if she bigger her detox may be more. VCO is good for eczema too, apply on it too. Your partial breast feeding, I am not sure with it was the cause of the baby problem, you should be better in answer it yourself. Do you have any health problems? Did you go for medial check up and the doctor advice not to breast feed your baby? If not breast feeding is the best for your baby, it should not be the cause. Be confidence of ‘the MOM greatest love –breast feed’. It build antibodies, she will be very health with it. Why partial breastfeed? So you mix with formula milk? Working? Than try fresh goat milk, which has the closest contents with our human milk. I breastfeed my elder daughter (Charis)for 3 years (not a single formula milk) and she is very healthy, we don’t even have a family doctor as we don’t for sick. Her normal syndrome is just to have a bit of wet nose in the morning and was gone in the evening without any medicine. This happen very ½ yearly. We go on 100% fruit diet once we feel not well and recover fast. Hope this may help you. Guest guest
, Not sure if this is any help, but Sjogren's syndrome can be a secondary or primary condition related to arthritis. It causes dry eyes, mouth, and attack moisture producing glands. There is a support site for this online that is fantastic, but I need to take my daughter to infusions. If you can't find it let me know. Google it. I do know that my daughter has dry eyes and there are millions of nerves that causes pain because of this. Go to a dark room, and apply warm compresses to your eyes for about 20 minutes. Endura drops help as well. Resting your eyes, and making sure you blink is so important. Since Caroline's eye injections her eyes do water all the time and she says that they bother her, however her doctor says it's related to the steroid injections. Guest guest
Hi Cassie, yes, plagio can cause facial asymmetry, including different eye sizes. the asymmetry is often more visible in the mirror (a 2D image). Torticollis can also contribute since it can cause plagio, but also because it can pull on the underlying muscles. If you search the messages for the past month there was just discussion of this. -christine sydney 20 mo starband grad. > > Can plagio cause one eye to be bigger than the other? > > > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ > Take the Internet to Go: Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos & more. > http://mobile./go?refer=1GNXIC >

Guest guest
My son's right eye (he has right plagio) also watered a lot when he was a baby. He did grow out of it, but I can't remember at what age. It does still water sometimes when he's sick, but nothing like it did before. The last few times he's been sick, his eyes also got really gunky, particularly his right again. I thought he had pink eye too, but the doctor said no, it was just viral gunk and wasn't contagious, and she appears to have been right, since it never became a problem. Never thought to ask if it was related to the plagio, but considering plagio could cause eye problems, I can imagine that there could be a link, especially if it seems like others have experienced the same thing. Very interesting. Jake-18m (tort resolved/rt plagio/DocBand 2/11/08) Jordan-4 > > > > > > My son's head is flat mostly in the back. He has some bulging on > the > > > front left side as well. Guest guest
I have vision problems anyway (w/ or w/o RA) but... I did a quick search and found this at the Mayo Clinic http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/rheumatoid-arthritis/AN01485 Might be helpful. It is possible that you have something going on that is a secondary feature of RA that is developing. However, the best bet is to constant with an eye doctor to see if you have scratched your cornea or something like that. That can also cause discomfort and blurry vision among other things. Guest guest
You need to see an eye doctor. I have had Pappaladema (msp), episcleritis, scleritis, and have no vision in my right eye due to a bad flare up of episcleritis in 2001. This all started 4 weeks after having my daughter in 1982. I had a cataract removed in 1997 and have had flare ups of scleritis every year. The eye is red, inflamed and itches and stays teary, wind or cold weather aggravates it. I can't see anything without my very thick bifocal glasses. Which I am glad to have. I can't judge distance so I do not drive at night or in rainy weather conditions. I was put on flubiprofen, prednisone, and my methotrexate and Humira were stopped during these flare ups. It has more painful than when I had my knee surgery 3 years ago. I can see only a blue film from my right eye and it is sore all the time. I have to see my eye specialist every year for treatment. I would rather have a stomach ache more than this. Before it gets worse you should see an eye specialist who will know more than your RA doctor how to treat it. Irish
