Guest guest
My husband has had the tests done for RA and they all come out normal except for a slightly elevated white blood cell count. He took 2 blood tests. His primary dr. said maybe he should go to a research hosptial because he wasn't sure what he had. He has been to a RA dr who put him on metho. He has all the symptoms but the tests are showing nothing. Just wondering if anyone else has had that problem. I have read that 10 or 15 percent don't show. h33

Guest guest
My bloodwork has always been normal as well. They classify this as sero-negative RA. There is no definitive blood test for RA. Guest guest
Hi - my RA tests came back negative, too. I have " sero-negative RA " . When they did all that bloodwork on your husband, did they check his CRP and sedrate? Those are two inflammation markers that will help in determining his diagnosis in conjunction with his symptoms. Is MTX the only med the Rheumy put him on? Don't let these doctors jerk him around. If you are not happy with the Rheumy you have now, maybe its time for another opinion - which never hurts to have. Best of luck to you both.....Doreen > > My husband has had the tests done for RA and they all come out > normal except for a slightly elevated white blood cell count. He > took 2 blood tests.
