hello everyone. I'm new and it's great to have a support group like this. I've

started the disks with moderate success, use cetaphil (bar) and I will try

dipping into my little one's diaper rash cream soon for a trial.

I would like to know if anyone has reported food triggers from bananas, peanut

butter, or tomato sauce. And finally, what is a good brand of foundation that

contains a bit of greenish tint to it?? I use Almay sports formula SPF 6 but it

isn't enough coverage some days. Elle

Elle,

I use Physician's Formula cover stick and foundation. They sell it in trial

size too, so you can test it to know if you react to it.

Elle,

I'm in for bananas and tomatoes (and other citrus AND onions-bigtime). I

don't know about peanuts because I haven't been able to eat those for other

reasons in all the time I've had rosacea. Other major triggers for me are

corn, especially corn syrup, large amounts of anything sugary (especially

honey), and generally large amounts of just about anything. I'm not kidding

here. I had to go on a special diet that rotates and makes you eat small

amounts of lots of different (and sometimes strange) things. It really

helps me though, because I have many food allergies but cannot take

antihistimines. I have some really bizarre but very tasty recipes for all

kinds of things if anyone is interested in varying their diet more! My

specialty is baked goods using alternative flours.

Isn't it funny how all of us react differently to products? I have had

really good luck with the Physician's Formula products. I do sometimes mix

the green stick with a little of my moisturizer to make it blend easier.

I've never had a breakout from this brand, but have with the more expensive

ones. (Clinique, Shisheido, etc.) Weird...
