Guest guest
, I noticed you were diagnosed with Adie's Pupil also. Do you have any sweating abnormalities? Loss of reflexes? Or pituitary problems? Date: Thu, 07 Sep 2000 10:21:56 -0400 Subject: Re: Brief introductions Name: Riding Email: l.riding@... City: Belleville, Ontario, Canada (about 90 minutes east of Toronto) Age: 57 in May of this year Person with MSA - self. I was dx'd Adies pupil in late 1980's. Early 90's started experiencing problems with bladder and dizzy spells. Very mild and was too busy running a family retail business and nursing my husband through final stages of cancer to see a doctor until 1994. By 1995 dizzy spells were so frequent and severe I insisted my doctor find out what was causing them. Many times my bp in her office was 60/40 and she just kept saying my blood pressure was low. After more than a year of seeing various specialists I was diagnosed in August 1997 with SDS. I seem to have a very slow progression and am still living in my own home and caring for myself - just a little slower and my children - (37, married, 3 daughters, , Katy & ); Alan (35, married, 1 son, Caleb) and Carol (30, married, 2 daughters, Chelsea, Shandrea) help me with the big jobs. Carol lives 4 doors away and is always there when I need her. I enjoy sewing, quilting and reading and can still cook up a turkey dinner for the whole group when we get together - but they have to clean up - I'm bushed!!!
