Guest guest
Hi Carol.  I am so sorry about your foot pain, etc.  RA struck my feet the worst. I too had numbness, tingling in both feet, and terrible pain for too long.  My foot dr. did a nerve test and I found out I have Neuropathy. There are some days I can hardly stand on these feet. My foot dr. tested my blood and found I was low in B12. He said B12 would help the Neuropathy . I noticed a big change in my feet. After 3 weeks the tingling, pain, throbing went away. They are so much better now. I also find them not as cold as before. I do put Bio freeze on them with thick socks. That helps also.  I hope you find something that helps them. Wishing you better days ahead.  Hugs,  Barbara From: CAROLT <IM4BUCS2000@...> Subject: [ ] Numb Feet Date: Friday, January 7, 2011, 6:48 PM  Hope someone has some answers for me. I am a server. I am not planning on staying with it much longer but after 30 years thats what i do. You can probably guess its not the best profession I could have but I was only diagnosed a year ago and really can't afford to quit. Anyway all other complaints aside I had a new one today. We were very busy and I was going non stop. All of a sudden my feet went numb and felt very cold. After the numbness they started to tingle and almost throb like little heartbeats. When I got in my car my feet felt really weak. I am now sitting with my feet up but my feet feel really weak and the tingling is moving up past my ankles. Any thoughts. Thanks in advance. This board is an absolute life saver. Sometimes although they say they understand people just don't get it. Carol

Guest guest
Hi Carol, I hate to hear you are going through the same thing as me. I was diagnosed January 2009 with RA, and started having tingling in my hands and feet starting in May 2009. I have had problems with my toes being numb starting two months ago. I live in South Dakota (the windchill is 20 below now, and I can't get out of my drive due to snowdrifts), and I have to really watch my feet or I experience severe (level 10) pain when my feet start warming up. This started just this month. Sigh.....I wonder what else will pop up? I also have chronic joint pain that gets me down, and I have a hard time walking because of my big toes. My toes aren't big, its just the big toe of each foot lol. But, I talked to my PCP and she will write a letter recommending me for disablilty, my hearing is in April or May. So,that made my day today! Perhaps you should think about filing for disability Carol? Take care and try to have a great new year. Oh, anyone else have to put up with the great white north in the winter? (Frozen)
