I just read Natural News with Mike . His latest involves thyroid

dysfunction. I know that mine needs work, but it has improved

significantly since I started taking a supplement with iodine

(Modifilan). Iodine requires vitamin A to be absorbed properly. It

also requires thyrosine. My hair is grey (prematurely!), I had hair

loss of the ends of my eyebrows, I have cold intolerance, I retain

water occasionally, I have hair loss on my head (less now than it

used to be), I had gum recession in the past, I don't have much hair

on my legs (that's the only plus!). These are all signs of

hypothyroid. I was tested and my tests didn't show thyroid problems,

but I have them regardless of the test results.

There is also a great link in our files from a man who discovered

this was a problem for his wife. She died before he was able to turn

her disease around and he was gracious enough to pass the information

along.

If you have any of these symptoms you might want to do some

investigation into this being an issue for you. Mercury toxicity

plays a key role in not absorbing iodine as the mercury competes with

iodine receptors for places to attach.

Minerals are more important than we realize. I learned that while

taking the chelated CAMP EAP (calcium, magnesium, potassium). I

don't think that I was absorbing the minerals that I was eating very

well. The EAP is a mineral transporter that directs the minerals to

their proper destinations, thyroid, adrenal glands, and brain (myelin

sheaths) among them.

If you're at a brick wall in your treatment, hypothyroid or

hyperthyroid could be the reason why.
