Guest guest
Much as it is against my grain in life (I hate plans/routine) we need to grill the restaurants before we go there, to give them time to work out (or tell their staff) just what we are on about. It is easier to eat at home but then the joy of eating out has gone and I won't let MS let that happen. We can probably come up with a worldwide directory of BBD-compliable restaurants. Every time you find one, post it. wwd/BBD restaurant (or similar) or wwd/BBD C.R.A.P. restaurant. For those of you not in the BBD group, I coined the acronym CRAP a few weeks ago - Causes Relapses And Progression Janet To: mscured@...: trekkie323@... am having the same problem re eating out. I am on the BBD, but often eat out at " healthy restaurants. " But I think that there is soy and/or gluten in the salad dressings and/or the seasonings they use on the food. I think for some of us, including myself, we have to be on the BBD 100% for it to work. I think I was doing better with the BBD when I wasn't eating out as much as I have been doing lately. I know Janet wrote that it is possible to eat out and be on the BBD but personally I have been having trouble doing so. The other day I was at a health food restaurant. I asked the waitress if there was any soy in anything I was ordering, and she didn't know what soy was. _________________________________________________________________ Invite your mail contacts to join your friends list with Windows Live Spaces. Guest guest
But there is dahl all over the place. We can't even eat the pappadoms. I don't trust any of them! Considering how many bottled dressings on the grocery store shelves are off-limits to us, I can't imagine that it's much different at a restaurant. I stick to olive oil and balsamic vinegar when eating out (not that often anymore). What I have found that really sucks is that you often wait 2-3 times longer for your food if there are any special requests b/c it gets screwed up and they start all over. ugh Once we waited over AN HOUR for our dinner b/c I had ordered the halibut special without the cream sauce. I wonder how many times they messed that one up. lolCrystalP.S. It's my understanding that Indian restaurants are a safe zone for us. As long as it's a *good* Indian place, they should not be using any type of flour to thicken sauces. So other than the obvious stuff like Tandoori chicken with yogurt in it, we should be o.k. _________________________________________________________________ Connect to the next generation of MSN Messenger http://imagine-msn.com/messenger/launch80/default.aspx?locale=en-us & source=wlmai\ ltagline
