Janice, thank you so much for posting your experience. It was interesting to

read. Like you, I had a sudden onset of symptoms a few months ago.

What was your anti-CCP value? Both my RF and anti-CCP were high (at least

according to normal values given on the lab report), which seem to indicate a

more aggressive form of RA, but I don't know how high my results are compared to

others with RA.

I have always been a healthy person. But from researching, I believe you have

to address RA quickly to prevent joint damage and I am going with that plan. I

am also sticking to a low-sugar, low-sodium, no junk food healthy diet; I

should buy stock in Bolthouse Farms for all of the carrot juice I am drinking!

I am 54. Best to all of us in this fight!

> My anti-CCP was around 249 the first time and 154 the second time. I have

also read it means " more aggressive " and I plan to quiz my rheum on exactly what

that means next time I see him. I wonder if it can ever be negative once it is

positive. I have also read once you are diagnosed, they don't care much what

the anti-CCP value is and don't keep testing it. Right now, I am doing well. I

think the yoga I am taking is great for mind and body. I am going twice a week.

There have been studies showing the benefits of yoga in RA patients. I am

single and I will say, it makes me feel I can never date again. It's hard to

accept all of this.
