Guest guest
Kerry, For makeup, I wear Estee Lauder Enlighten foundation. It has an spf10 only, but it seems to soothe the redness more than any product (outside of Metrogel) I've used, and it doesn't cause breakouts either. I work full-time in the same kind of environment you're going into. It does hold up. I got a free sample from an Estee Lauder counter before I plunked down the $$ to buy it. Good luck in your new job! Guest guest
Matija, I did email that company you posted for samples. They didn't have them for shampoos. Did they send you samples of conditioners? Esther ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
Kerry, Hey good luck with the job. I sure hope you find a way to handle the lights. I never have and the only solution I have isn't a great one. I just removed half of them. There's gotta be something that'll work. Promise to post when you find it? Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. For everyone who posted something that works for them, I have a question. Does it protect you for an 8-hour workday under fluorescent lights? (or do you have to reapply during the day?) I'll give them a try and see if anything helps. Since the desitin has helped so much at night, I think I might try it underneath whatever lotions and/or make-up I end up using to help increase the protection. I'll let you know if anything works especially well. Thanks again! Kerry

Guest guest
Esther, They sent me shampoos and just one conditioner - the Crema I talked about earlier. I used the shampoos, and the one called Bosco for oily hair was the only one I didn't react to. I hope one, or all, of the conditioners work out. Guest guest
Kerry, I don't reapply the Estee Lauder Enlighten during the day. It seems to stay put. I work under bright fluorescent lighting & with computer screens all day long. I wear it when I surf the net at home, too. Otherwise I get a bad flare if I sit barefaced before my computer screen. Let us know which product(s) works the best for you. Matija ---PAUL TOWNLEY-SMITH wrote: > > Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Guest guest
Kerry, I've had good luck with a mineral powder " cover-up " /SPF15 that i buy from a plastic surgeon's office. It comes in a pretty good variety of colors and seems totally non-irritating--depending upon how much I need to " cover " for the day, I apply a thick or thin layer with brush, powder puff, cotton round, whatever...I use their " Warm Sienna " I believe that this make-up is made by " Iredale " cosmetics, and the doctor's office is the only place I've found it. He sells it to folks who've had the CO2 re-surfacing done to their faces, because it's healing, hypo-allergenic, non irritating, etc., and his patients can use it 2??? weeks after the CO2 I think it was 2 weeks before they can use this The powder-mineral make-up is called " Innovation " I go back to replace it--call 1st to see if my color is in stock--about every 6 months price approx 28-30$$$$ It comes in the loose powder jar or a compact--last time I bought the compact for travel Good luck with make-up, the job, etc!!
