::lol:: I am a massage therapist too and I do Craniosacral work myself. The

irony is I can't find anyone else nearby (within an hour drive) who does the

work. My friend who is also a CST teacher lives 45 minutes one way and she's

very busy. All I can do right now is lay on my still point inducer and use

dry heat. I also have light therapy set up in my room, so I stayed under

the red and blue lights for 45 minutes.

I have worked my whole massage career in pain management. I'm sure I'm

going through this period for a very good reason, but in the meantime, I

hurt so badly it brings me to tears. I need someone like me who

specializes in chronic pain treatment.and I am really surprised to discover

how few LMTs do anything other than 'swedish'! Even the ones listed on AMTA

or IAHP who claim they do.

, I wish you lived in central Tennessee!!!

Hi ,

Not sure what area you are in, but do you know of anyone in your area who

does craniosacral therapy? It's very gentle and light touch so may be more

tolerated than a massage right now. www.iahp.com is where you should be

able to find someone in your area.

Hope this helps,

(also a licensed massage therapist, and a physical therapist

assistant, in NY)

ARG! I really am getting lower and lower emotionally. My jaw is releasing

here and there, but now the pain is running down my neck and into my

shoulder. I was going to just go ahead and take the MTX without consulting

my rheumy (because she will want to 'see' me again and that's like two hours

of my husband's time to take me there) But the last thing I need is liver

failure, so I guess I won't. I don't want to end up in the ER again this

week.

Thanks for your reply . Funny how all rheumys have different

opinions. Mine says we have to give the Arava a few months. I am

fortunate that it isn't giving me any side effects except I feel

worse pain wise.

By the way, I have read that is isn't safe to take Arave with MTX but

then again I see there are some who take it together. I found out my

info on www.drugs.com . I guess it is suppose to be really hard on

the liver taking the two together.

Best of luck to you.

My jaw is opening a little bit further today! Hurrah!! I'm starving, so I

scarfed some food while I could. ::lol::

Thanks everyone for your input and positive thoughts!

OHHHHH! How close do you live to the Mouse empire? Or Tarpon Springs? My

best friend lives in Tarpon Springs and I really want to take my family to

FL..

I am feeling soooo much better. I got a stronger dose pack of prednisone

and some valium. I've never taken valium but it did me a world of good.

Whew! I NEVER want to go through that again.

Thank you all for your advice, good wishes and everything. I really don't

know what I would do without this group and I really mean that!
