I take Darvocet and have for years. It is not that strong so does not take all

of the pain away but helps somewhat. I hate having to make an appt with my

rheumy to get something else as I do not have health insurance and have to pay

for the visit out of my pocket. Thanks for the info tho and I will pass it

along to others I know.

Hi Pat...my rheumy is gone so I called my pcp for something else. The

secretary said...UHHH...I didn't know about that..when did that happen?

Today. I've taken darvocet for eons it seems. I liked it because it wasn't

too

strong too and they always said its been around a long time with little

side effects. Guess that's all changed now. Maybe your rheumy can

prescribe something else for you by phone. I just called my pcp to change my

med

and gave him my pharmacy number. I hope you don't have to make an appt. I

used to buy the ascription in the blue and white bottle NOT the arthritis

strength but Max strength..and it worked pretty well for me if I was out.

This is big news.

I take Tramadol occasionally for pain in my hip coming from a slipped

vertebra in my spine. For RA, along with Enbrel, I take Extra Strength

acetaminophen.

check it out when I called him.

Thanks for the Darvocet information.  I just called my girlfriend in N.H. who

is on Darvocet for back issues.  She is having heart problems and the Dr. wants

her to have a pace maker.  She will stop the Darvocet.

 

Always something.

I know.  I called her but she is not home.  I left the whole thing on her

machine.  I am worried about it.  She has been feeling awful for a few weeks

now.  She is also taking it for Plantair Faschitits which is so painful.

 

Who would have thought after so many years on the market, it would cause that.

a,

i take oxycontin, and lortab for break through pain. i have OA, RA,

and DDD. i stay in constant pain so i do have to take something. no

matter what you take, after so long it stops helping, so you will have

to change over to another kind. my rhuemy dr. referred me to a pain

management dr. , but i didn't like him, ..... so, i will stay with my

rhuemy.

i was wondering if my plaquenil was helping me or not, so i stopped

taking it for a week. boy, ... my joints are crunching and hurting,

the swelling has come back in my hands and ankels,.... guess i know

now. the plaquenil DOES HELP. ..lol.. it took about 7 months for it

to start working tho..
