Guest guest
Jane, hi. I am sorry about ur sister. I have a older sister and when I read ur email, I saw part of my sister in it. Must be hard to see ur sister ill. Do u get to visit her much? Opps... forgot to introduce myself. I am nancy from cleveland. I am 41 and have Parkinson and orthostatic hypotension and same old same old. Does ur sister get P.T. or movement classes??I find they help me significantly. I can't stretch my hands over my head , but I do stretch them forward while sitting. My low fiber diet is pureed. I am going Monday to a nutritionist to get a updated diet. I will post it here. A swallowing evaluation and barium swallow was also done. My chewing is uncoordinated and esophagus doesn't have movement. Gravity pulls down the pureed food. Delayed gastric emptying test found that out. For the orthostatic i wear compression hose. Most HA will not put them on and tell u u shouldn't wear them all the time while my docs tell me to do it. I follow the docs they are knowledgeable in the medical area. Yes like Bill says - the blood pressure should be taken laying , sitting , and if possible standing. try to smile . i know it is hard sometimes. nancy:) Werre wrote: > > Jane, > > Yes people with MSA often run " normal " temperatures of as low as 96 deg. > > On the blood pressure, many MSA patients have orthostatic hypotension.
