Guest guest
Hi Pat, I was on Humira for about 3 months and it had to be discontinued as I was getting worse. I started Enbrel in March this year and it worked brilliantly for 2 weeks, then I had a bad chest infection and have been asthmatic ever since. I have now had Enbrel discontinued. It's bad luck more than anything, there are some of us who are going to have to wait a bit longer for the right meds. They are bringing out new drugs all the time, we just need to wait for the one with our name on it! Love and hugs x ________________________________ From: bitsysguest <pmandell@...> Sent: Tuesday, 14 July, 2009 2:06:10 Subject: [ ] Enbrel no longer working Has anyone experienced Enbrel no longer being effective? I have been using Enbrel for about 2 years. Gradually, I have become more and more exhausted, have had more joint pain than in the past and ache all over. My rheumy has told me that the Enbrel may no longer be effective for me and I will need to change to another drug. Has anyone out there experienced this? Thanks! Guest guest
Pat, Everyone is different, but I believe your body can get use to a med. I started on Humira in 04, and was on it for quite a long while. I felt after awhile, it was not doing its job. My doctor put me on a weekly dose of Humira, still no better. I took Enbrel for awhile, and it worked, and then it stopped. I'm back on Humira once again, and its been working. So, just keep on trying to get some relief. I hope you can get on a med, and it works for a long while for you. Hugs, Tawny > > Has anyone experienced Enbrel no longer being effective? I have been using Enbrel for about 2 years. Guest guest
I hope you have better luck with the Humira, Pat. I took my 3rd injection Wednesday and have had on/off flares for hours at a time that I haven't had before taking it. Is this normal or what?
