Guest guest
As I've stated before, I have been spacing out my Enbrel injections to once a week instead of twice. My copay went up from $50 for a 34-day supply to $100 for a 30-day supply. So I am not only saving myself money, but also my insurance company. And the weekly injections are working just fine. I got my last shipment the first of October, and I called Medco Accredo today for a new shipment. The lady I talked to checked on my prescription, and since it had been so long, she said they would have to call my doctor's office. I explained that I was trying to save money for myself and my insurance money. Well, I guess they're against that, because that means they won't get as much money. What a crock! I called the rheumy's office and spoke to the nurse who calls the prescriptions in. She said they just try to dictate to the doctors what they can prescribe. I told her NOT to change the prescription when they called. She said she would go ahead and call in a new prescription. Tonight I got a call from Medco to schedule my shipment. Now I just hope they send me my six boxes. I have always had the most trouble with this company! Does anyone else here have to deal with them?
