Loose fitting shoes slip on shoes or scuffs for the trip home (velcro closures will allow for swelling from IV fluids) and Loose fitting clothes for the trip home > Do before photos and take measurements (then take monthly after pics for your List Profile!) > Put pillow(s)in car for ride home > Extra pillows for bed, couch, or recliner (or all three!) > If you live in a two-story house, plan on living on one floor or the other for a few days post-op > > Get your house clean, bills paid. > > Buy protein powder, stick mixer. > > Buy soups, crackers, instant potatoes, tuna, bottled water,etc. > > Get magazines, books to read. > > Get butt wiper, deoderizer spray, vitamins, cal-trate, water soluable vitamins A & D, vitamin E oil for incisions if desired > > Have hair trimmed, nails done > > Make arrangements for children, pets, plants > > Make arrangements for being away from job > > Get angel on List to keep everyone posted > > Get robe, gowns, slippers for hospital > > Get toothpaste, deoderant, shampoo, etc. for hospital > > Cook meals ahead for family & freeze if desired > > Stock freezer for family for post-op > > Make reservations if travelling for surgery > > Get Lact-aid and Beano if desired > > Put fresh sheets on beds > > Assign family members chore schedule for post-op if desired > > Shave legs/underarms (women only LOL) > > Update will, sign up for organ donation if not already > > > > > > > I keep hearing everyone say that before you have surgery it's > good > > to get > > > your ducks in a row...I think I'm so nervous/excited about the > > upcoming > > > surgery, I can't think straight. > > > What should I do before surgery to make sure my " ducks are > properly > > in their > > > rows Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
