I have my own chainsaw--Ken is the splitter----but now he does both--@ times

I'll load up truck with firewood & bring down from barn or from out back in

the wood shed..When Ken is workin' a lot of hours I load & unload it--but it

takes me longer this past year--used to be real fast stacker unloader!!!!!

Last time I did this in Dec -took me about an hour 1/2 to load-- then I let

it set in truck for a couple hours- then I noticed it was beginning to rain &

I got out tthere & double-timed the unloading & stacking......BTW--- I whip

up a mean pot o' chili- too

That's me! Really neat! The closest person in this group now is Diane in

NJ - I am all alone up here. Seems to be a lot from Texas and the west but

maybe that is due to population.

I went to UNH and worked in a sawmill there for a while. I grew up 80 miles

west and now live 20 miles south of Durham. Thanks for the info.

It looks to be about 381 miles from what I got off the internet.

Why? Want to come up and split wood or work on the truck? - You're welcome

any time.

I will make chili but I use meat.

I think kids underestimate the fact that we may be old but we have YEARS of experience on them...I know when I got a hold to my daughter she changed her mind too..The next time she started her shit she was pregnant and I told her when you have that baby come back and put your feet in a woman's shoes and get the ass whipping you deserve tonight..She hasn't spoken to me in 2 yrs next month..

I don't know.. It just doesn't seem like chile without

meat... Although they call it chile con carne (with

meat), so I guess that implies it can be made without

meat... -dz-

I make my chili with ground turkey. I just make it in

the morning so it can soak up all the spices and lose

the turkey taste. My dr. told me I could have beef

once in a while, so I save it for steak.

Sharon if I could have only beef once in a while, I

would save it for a good steak also. When we make

chili we put it in the crock-pot the night before.

It's ready for lunch the next day. Our main meal is at

lunch seance I work 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

I might try ground turkey in our chili some time.

I do usually like to use beef, but I've had the ground

turkey and it's really not bad. It's a lot better for

you too. It's hard to break old habits... -dz-
