Guest guest
Hi all, I'm sure there's more than one person here who has already done the research on excess glutamate and MS. My main question is whether ingested L-glutamine will always metabolize to glutamate. My acupuncturist recommended L-glutamine in a therapeutic dose (about 1500mg/day) as part of a protocol for healing leaky gut. However, if this will exacerbate glutamate problems, it's not worth attempting! So, I'm wondering about the correlation between ingestion of the amino acid and glutamate production in the brain. , I'm also wondering what you are eating these days as part of the GAPS diet. If I remember correctly, prior to that you had a diet along the lines of Weston Price and Sally Fallon. I really would like to feel like I'm making some progress with healing my gut, I think what I've been doing for many months now is not doing the trick. Thanks for any help!
