Guest guest
I'll keep that in mind about the bacteria. I do try to take probiotics, altho not everyday. I was extensively tested when the diarrhea started in 99. They ruled out bacteria causing it. And a biopsy confirmed the autoimmune colitis. My colon treats everything in it as a poison and the resulting inflammation shoots it out of my body. Sigh. But I have been reading alot about probiotics and will take them everyday. Thanks. Beverly > > Beverly, > Back in the days when I felt the relationship between colon cleansing & migraines sounded unreasonable... the reason was that I did not feel I had issues with constipation. But especially with ms, we can have bad bacteria that builds up in our gastro-intestinal system. That may even contribute to diarreah, in some cases. > For optic neuritis, it is a good idea to go see an ophthalmologist or neurologist. Cold packs, Salon Pas, herbal anti-inflammatories & doing most of my reading in large print on the computer seem to be best for me because my vision is always changing, but I am keeping the associated headaches down to a minimum. > Cheers,Cheylenna > " Taking joy in living is a woman's best cosmetic. Guest guest
I thought you were drinking kefir, a probiotic. You can make water kefir if you don't want milk. I drink both and I eat fermented veggies for living probiotics. > > > But I have been reading alot about probiotics and will take them everyday. Guest guest
Yeah, , I do drink kefir everyday. But maybe that's not enough and I should be supplementing with probiotics? Guest guest
I think kefir is alive where probiotic supplements are usually inactive/dead. I gave up the supplements and replaced them with fermented foods. If you do that, go slow or you might have a die-off reation. > > > > > > > > > > > But I have been reading alot about probiotics and will take them everyday. Guest guest
And besides, supplements don't always contain as many strains of probiotic bacteria as kefir and fermented foods do. We need more than the few that most pills/caps contain. Take both if you are concerned that something might be missing. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > But I have been reading alot about probiotics and will take them everyday.
