Guest guest
a BAD month? A few weeks ago, I was tested by a physical therapist because I need a power chair instead of the too-large scooter I've had since '94. I had in my head that with the damage of the RA, there would be no problem being approved. It turns out that I have been approved for one with 2 extras, adjustable arm rests and leg rests! Approval was not associated with the RA, but because of my heart. The test was on a Wednesday and Friday I had a malfunction, dim vision and light-headiness for about 15 seconds. It happened later that evening, but only for 2-3 seconds. There have been no recurrences or other problems since then. Now Betty, who was evaluated with me by the PT, is being tested for heart and pulmonary. Every time she does anything physical, she runs out of air. It only got bad in this same period. She's a little jealous because she can't have a new chair. Oh, yeah, the hospital decided not to extend their help in paying our bills, and didn't even tell us, we just started getting bills and bills. It's just in time for Christmas. I'm beginning to think bah-humbug.... Dennis in eastexas
