Guest guest
My neuro put me on that years ago (before I knew any better) and other than make me feel drugged up all the time it didn't do a lot. OK my legs were less spastic but I trade that against having a brain. I weaned myself off it. OK my legs are stiff but I can do yoga exercises that would turn my legs to jelly on Baclofen. MSM helps me. And my latest, Magnesium Oil - brilliant stuff. Thanks to the person here who told me about it. Janet To: mscured From: alansamston@... stiffness in my limbs is getting so bad what I was wondering is if anyone has tried the medicine Baclofen _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Trusted email with Microsoft’s powerful SPAM protection. https://signup.live.com/signup.aspx?id=60969
Guest guest
Hi Alan, You might try reducing your dosage of LDN. Guest guest
Alan. The best I've found for stiffness is Vitamin B6, It helps to reduce night muscle spasms, leg cramps, hand numbness and certain forms of Neuritis in the extremities. Also Hemp oil capsules help with stiffness. Remember Baclofen is a muscle relaxant, with out a map. It can weeken any muscle not just the ones you want. Don't go there. (England) However, the stiffness in my limbs is getting so bad what I was wondering is if anyone has tried the medicine Baclofen that is supposed to reduce stiffness in MS. I would like to possibly try it and wonder if anyone could share their experience if they have tried it. I do not want to use it if it will lead to losing my mobility, but this tightness of the limbs is driving me nuts! Thanks. Alan.
Guest guest
Supplementing potassium helped me a lot with stiffness/spasticity. I can notice the difference if I skip it. I just adjusted my dose until I found what worked for me. > > Hi all, > I know this is an alternative site, and I too am doing alternative and natural support for my MS condition--NO CRABS. Guest guest
Another thought, since mentioned hemp oil capsules, which I didn't even know exist, is marijuana itself if you live somewhere it is allowed. It certainly gets rid of stiffness and spasticity. Janet To: mscured From: brosta@... Date: Wed, 23 Jun 2010 13:46:11 +0100 Subject: Re: Need help with stiffness of limbs! Guest guest
Thank you for the responses so far. There doesn't seem to be much consensus though. I have tried pot for MS symptoms but it doesn't help me and in fact makes me feel worse (I guess I am unusual in that regard). I am on 3.0 LDN. I have tried being on and being off of this med for long periods of each and I can't tell a difference either way, so it sure is confusing. I am still torn about the Baclofen....Has anyone else tried it? Thanks.Alan.
Guest guest
Pot makes my mind feel great and it makes me not have to urinate as often but it makes me too weak to go when I need to. In fact, I fell a few weeks ago because I was hot, weak and stoned. I thought that I sprained an ankle but it wasn't healing as quickly as it should. I went to an osteopath yesterday and he ordered x-rays. My leg is broken just above my ankle. As much as I enjoyed the cannabis when I smoked it I do not want a repeat performance. Have you ever tried hyaluronic acid? It is good for joint stiffness, speaking of joints. Silica is good for that too. > > Thank you for the responses so far. Guest guest
Hi Sounds to me you do not know how to take cannabis for medicinal use. Two puffs (I do not know the American for this) on a spiff is all you need. Not a full cigarette. I've been taking Cannabis now for 16 years, only had one high and that was in the first year before I knew how much was required. I can feel my legs relaxing whilst smoking it. I have also found that by digesting cannabis it can take up to two hours to get into my system. Guest guest
I only smoked a small bowl (I didn't have much more in my possesion) but I want to try a liquid cannabis product that a woman who came into our store told my dad about. Her husband with MS had been in a wheelchair for five years and is now walking and has been for two years after using this product. Heard of it? The days of recreational use are far behind me. I feel a high now after one hit. > > Hi > Sounds to me you do not know how to take cannabis for medicinal use. Two puffs (I do not know the American for this) on a spiff is all you need. Guest guest
Sorry, I forgot to tell you the name of it. Sativex. It is made in the UK. > > I only smoked a small bowl (I didn't have much more in my possesion) but I want to try a liquid cannabis product that a woman who came into our store told my dad about. Guest guest
Received the magnesium oil in the mail today and put it on all day. It did not help at all, and I put lots on. Once again it seems to be an indiviudal thing, I suppose. ..The search continues. I do use a benzo for the stiffness, as someone mentioned it helps, but lately it does not seem to be helping anymore the way it used to. Guest guest
Sativex has just been licensed in the UK. I was to be on their trial but declined after the manufacturers wouldn't tell me exactly what was in it. After a bit of research I discovered - a few e-numbers (colourants I seem to remember, tartrazine which I wouldn't touch), a grain alcohol, and the herb itself. It is much preferrable (to me) to go for the real stuff, you know what is in it and its strength and if you use it wisely it provides relaxation, help with pain, incontinence relief, spasms stop, and spasticity disappears. If however you overdo it, you render yourself, like everyone, legless. As someone who is like that anyway (staggering with mental confusion), although nice to see those around you without MS becoming like us, you have to remember we don't need as much as we have a head start Janet To: mscured From: alpdesigns1@... Hi Janet, Yes licensed, but I tried this morning to get a prescription and was told that the Strategic Health Authority had not given the go ahead so it cannot be used yet. It looks as thought it will be another " post code " lottery item. I know a lot of people who have been using it on Private prescription for up to 5 years. One ish pal used Sativex but stopped because he found the real thing better. (England)

Her husband with MS had been in a wheelchair for five years and is now walking and has been for two years after using this product. Heard of it? I forgot to tell you the name of it. Guest guest
Sativex is licensed in Canada. The real thing is more readily available and is much less expensive, even free if you can grow your own. The spray averages to be $11/day. Pot is legal in New Mexico if used medicinally and you qualify, which I do. I have not applied for a membership card but I printed out an application online today. After my fall I will be more judicious with it in the future. > > Sativex has just been licensed in the UK. Guest guest
A state trooper told me that you have to be careful of the source. They have discovered methamphetimine laced pot on the street. Guest guest
I was in the bathroom and I was hot. My legs just collapsed. I didn't fall far or hard but my ankle was turned backwards and I landed on it. I usually have some kind of pain in my feet and I didn't realize that my ankle was worse than I thought. I'll heal without a cast. The bones have already started to mesh correctly. > > > God put it here on the earth. Move somewhere you can grow your own.
