Guest guest
Hi Everyone! GOOOOOOOOOOD NEWSSSSSSSSS! My PCP is ALL for the surgery! She said that she read over the manuel last night and she can see that Dr is very qualified. She also questioned me a little to see how educated I was. Her response was " wow! Looks like you have done your homework lady! " I had to laugh. She asked if I had any blood work done lately and I told her I was not sure but that I had all of my records since I was 13 in my car. She asked me to get them and I did. She looked over them, and said... " well, I think before we send you into the operating room we should draw some blood and see where you stand there. That way we have that info on file for Dr R and the insurance co if needed " ! She also said that she could not understand why my previous Dr would not discuss the matter with me. She could see that I am in a lot of physical and emotional distress b/c of this and it was time we did something permanent about it. She said that as long as I was aware of the risks involved and was willing to make a life long change and comittment, then she is ALL FOR IT!!! YEAH! She said when the blood work comes back she will fax the letter and records to Dr R!!! So...now we wait a little bit! I should also hear back from Cigna today or tommorow. Thanks for all of your support! I do need to talk to 10 people that are willing to share there story with me now! Any volunteers? MIchelle --- " Rutledge, M.D., F.A.C.S.
