Guest guest
Hi, Unfortunately, I have no suggestions to offer, as I've tried just about everything and then some! (Herbs, Nystatin, you name it...) And nothing eradicates the yeast. Nothing. It seems to be a chronic condition, no matter what I do. My don told me recently that they have just discovered that inflammation causes chronic candida. That's the problem. They have no solution at this point in time! However, now that I have this condition, I find that not adhering to the diet, plus eating certain foods (for example, dairy and vinegar) makes it worse. But, when I adhere strictly to the diet (which is most of the time) I find, like you, that I am losing too much weight. Definitely causing me more problems than the candida! To put on weight I have to include some " forbidden " foods in my diet. Good luck in your journey, and keep us posted on how you are getting along! Guest guest
My ND has a candida proggram that is very strenuous. A friend od mine is on it right now. He says that candida has done the same as all the strains of germs that do not respond to the antibiotics ..mutate etc. He charges nothing to talk to only charges for the products. I have found his products to cost much less than the health food store in our town. I know you and the whole world find this hard to beleive but ...it's true. Guest guest
Hi Shir, Yes I tried the diet, and the medicine. I felt like it burnt a hole in my stomach, even on a full stomach. I just saw a naturopath who gave me other things to kill the yeast and a diet that seems softer on my tummy. He is also giving me vitimins and emune supports to get my system to work on its own. Good luck with your problem. I just started this so I have no idea how it is going to come out. I see the Doctor again in two weeks. Cheerfully, Myra yeast infections > From: Shir1129@... > > Hi, > > I have been reading your archives and am amazed to find many people who feel as I do. I have been suffering for over 6 years with chronic vaginal discomfort. I have seen many MDs some who see yeast upon culturing and others who find nothing at all. I was also up to the past month suffer from chronic urethritis and irritable bowel. I have been consulting with a nutritionist and have been on a yeast free diet for 9 weeks. My UT and irritable bowel have subsided however, I still suffer from chronic vaginitis. I am very depressed about my situation and am also trying Reiki for my state of mind. I am also suffering with chronic back problems and have had neck problems in the past. I read the Tripp story and visited her homepage. I'm very afraid to invest more money than I already have for more cure all products. My nutritionist has had me try some very expensive homeopatic products. I just hope I can get this straightened out. > > Another thing I am very perplexed about is some yeast free diets allow certain foods that other diets don't. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I find I'm losing a lot of weight on this diet and I don't want to lose any more. Can anyone give me any suggestions. Guest guest
, It is weird so many of us our having fungus/yeast/mould problems right now. I wonder if the warmer weather has anything to do with it. I had a mould infection in my ear and have finally got rid of it (I think) by taking one Diflucan tablet and an ear drop for nearly two months. I have never had a fungus infection before. On my weekly visit to the gp today he said finally the perforated ear drum is healing. My RA is easing up so much that perhaps my body has the energy to heal it finally. I thought I would have to get reconstructive surgery to fix it. I believe garlic is good for yeast and fungus but be careful with it. had a problem with the tablets. Diflucan didn't work for me when i was really sick. Now I stay on the low carb diet and seem to never have a problem. But the mycoplasma is more under control now also. I am still on Zithromax. a Carnes
Guest guest
Hello, , Before you have to go off the Mino, why don't you try the following? You certainly don't have a lot to lose and a great deal to gain. 1/2 cup aloe vera juice per day, Endida Dietary Supplement which cleanses your system of yeast, toxins and bacteria - by R Garden Products, Inner Garden Flora - contains NINE of the best bacterial cultures available. They attack many unfriendly organisms, like e-coli, and re-establish beneficial bacteria in the colon, which eat up the toxic, putrefying waste that accumulates on the colon's walls - also by R Garden Products, Bifidophilus Flora Force - promotes the growth of friendly bacteria and helps rid body of toxins - by Nature's Sunshine. If you decide to order these, ask the guys who sell R-Garden Products also about L. Salivarius - which works to restore the proper balance of bacteria in your intestines, attacking the unfriendly bacteria while promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria. It is a fast acting bowel cleanswer, and also Protease Formula - digests proteins. Eats up toxins the body is throwing off. May help relieve fever, infection, colds, flu, parasites, CANDIDA, acna, depression, anxiety, fatigue and insomnia. I know that is a lot to throw out to you but I sure would try these before undoing the minocin. I have a friend who is taking a lot of these and doing well with the Clindy IV's and Minocin. Maybe these will also do the trick for you. Guest guest
We carry yeast in our bodies all the time but once in a while we get a yeast infection; once called Thrust if it occured in the mouth. We used to use a purple ointment to fight the infection. I don't know what is used now. The infection can be cured but you still have the yeast. 40 years ago I had yeast infections. Now, I assume, because of problems, that I still have too much yeast in my body tissues. Thus, my question. > > I don't understand your question, as I think the yeast > and the infection are the same. > I don't know what you mean by does it " fight against " > the yeast. > It clears the problem up. Guest guest
I've been on Minocin (and doing very well - just take a maintenance dose now) for about 7 years. Anyway, I have problems with vaginal yeast infections every so often from Minocin. I take a lot of acidophilus but still get them. Any suggestions? ette
Guest guest
Hi ette, Tea tree oil on a tampon does a great job of getting rid of vaginal yeast - use for several days if the yeast is bad. Make sure you're not eating any sugar at all (it feeds the yeast) and drinking at least eight glasses of water a day. Chris. >I've been on Minocin (and doing very well - just take a maintenance dose now) for about 7 years. Anyway, I have problems with vaginal yeast infections every so often from Minocin. Guest guest
Hi Gloria, Hold the tampon up and tip tea tree oil over it so it soaks about a third down and then use it. Some people have told me that neat tea tree oil is too strong for them so they dilute it. I guess you could try the diluted version and if all OK, try it full-strength, which is OK for me. Chris. > How much tea tree oil do you put on each tampon? Do you dilute it at all? >Thanks, >Gloria > >

Guest guest
Hey Tricia, I find Cranberry juice quite effective. Take unsweetened one atleast 16 oz. a day: 8 oz in the morning & 8 in the evening. Take Acidophilus supplement with it. A tampon coated with Tea-Tree oil is also effective though I haven't tried it yet. You may consult with a Naturopath for this. All the Best for your efforts. Guest guest
I belong to a kefir making group. Kefir is a probiotic living cultured food similiar to yogurt but more liquid and with more strains of microbes in it. It is cultured by using a symbiotic mass of yeasts and bacteria called a " grain " Anyway the other day a woman in our group told of how she used the kefir " grains " internally to clear up a vaginal yeast infection. Im not suggesting it, just tossing it in here as a point of interest. --- mogdrmom@... wrote: > Some of the people have put reg. yogurt up their > vagina, insert fresh garlic > cloves that have been wrapped in a gauze like cloth. > i have never had to do > either of these i only know what i hear! i would eat > fresh garlic my self. > Mog > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
So true, . I just spent $35 on a bottle of acidophilus, 10 billion, high strength, that was after spending $35 yesterday on iron pills, and a combo of biotics in the weekend for $35. Not to mention nystatin, doctors visits, and this is round two of buying all the herbs etc. Initially I had to spend big and what with the naturopaths charge, and the plain old vitamins and minerals to boot. And food isn't cheap when you cant just eat bread all day.
