Guest guest
Don't be discouraged, sometimes these things take time to work. Use that extra energy to figure out something you can do which you enjoy and can manage with the condition. I got a ship model which will six months to build but I always wanted to do one. With the computer there's art, music, and a bunch of other stuff you can develope an interest in and keep going. Get our mind off the pain. Stan, Seattle, Cloudy -maybe snow! -------------- Original message -------------- From: " tomkatsdox " <tomkatdox@...> Hi to everyone. I just started Remicade infusion about 3 weeks ago. I had hoped to feel some improvement, but nothing yet. My problem areas are my feet, ankles and hands. I think I have a little more energy, but the pain is as bad, or worse. I'm a little discouraged. Guest guest
Has anyone had experience with Remicade? I'm starting later on this month and I'm scared to death about all the side effects and the TB warnings.
Guest guest
Hi , I did Remicade for a little over a year, I am no longer on it. I do know 2 men that my husband works with that have been on it for years and it works wonders for them. I too was sooooo afraid when I first started, I was actually in tears in the office, made my husband go with me, I have a real fear of new meds, all for nothing because I never had a single side effect from it and my doc does not premedicate with benedryl like alot do. Good luck, in PA [ ] remicade Has anyone had experience with Remicade? I'm starting later on this month and I'm scared to death about all the side effects and the TB warnings. Guest guest
I've been on Remicade for a few months. I've had maybe 5 infusions. I started with 8 Methotrexate a week. I was sick for most of the week -- fatigue, nausea, like I'm coming down with the flu. Then he lowered it to 4 a week and added Arava. My hair fell out and I felt worse than before. I also have Crohn's Disease and my GI doc recommended we kill two birds with one stone and treat my RA with Remicade. I still have occasional days with the Mtx sickness, but the Remicade has helped so much with my intestinal symptoms. I even have less reflux. And except for a few pains here and there, I am doing really well. I've only had one side effect from Remicade. The last two infusions my face has gotten really red the next day. It's like it triggers my rosacea. No itching or other symptoms. We tried a pre-treatment and it didn't help at all. I hope that Remicade keeps helping me as much as it has and I hope it helps you as well. dd **************Popular laptop deals plus free shipping! Guest guest
Hi , I've been on Remicade for about 9 months now, and it's been a godsend. The infusion clinic I go to does do the pre-meds, and I haven't had any negative side effects. But it HAS allowed me to ween completely off of Prednisone without any problem. The only issue I have with it is that I have deep veins that roll and collapse easily. Therefore, I usually end up having to have the IV in my hand. So it hurts a bit more when they insert the needle. But if you have better veins than mine, it should be a positive experience. Where I go, they have cozy Laz-y-Boy chairs, and I either read for couple of hours, or take a nap. As a single mom with a high-stress job, it's about the only guilt free rest I get...lol. - > > Has anyone had experience with Remicade?
